Default Help..........! Stripping wheels like crazy!

Help!

I have now stripped two wheels on the same side, same axle. I have tried, double wheel nuts, locktie, I do torque the wheel nuts. Not sure if I should change the hub.

Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks!

I like the Hot racing hubs and Serrated nuts. They also add width which I have noticed has reduced tipping. The nuts are wider and give better clamping plus they have the reinforced wheel rings which help support the wheel hub. I would also buy a good 17mm wrench. Before this I used similar wheel nuts that stopped loosening. The wheels that are stripped, just unglue them in the oven.

Can you post a close-up pic of the troublesome hub(s)?

I mentioned on your Instagram that I cut the small lugs which helped me save almost 6 ounces and I added extra slits that line up with the webbing of your 40 series Wheels. If you take to the caps and put them slit side to Slit side and offset them it will Mark out where the additional slits need to be.

This is why I came up with my 40 series RC 4 wheel drive hub adapter mod

https://youtu.be/P5bILs2Yg9E and I cover it on a previous thread stripped wheel mod

If you are throwing away the stripped wheels I buy them
