So my Yeti has been clicking some on hard breaking and I through it was coming from the trasmission. I bought my Y used off RCG and it was run hard. So I opened it up, for the first time and it was a total mess. Dirt all in the greese I am impressed it ran as well as it did. I cleaned it and used marine greese to put it back together and installed fast Eddie bearings. Now I get way too much drag and a high pitch noise. Only ran it for 2-3 mins light throttle. So I am going to tear it down again and check the gears. It spins nice without a motor attached and doesn't make any real noise. So it might be my mesh..... or something else. |

Don't over tighten the screws on the transmission case around the slipper shaft assembly. If they're snugged all the way down it causes it to have a rotational bind. I recommend snuggling all of the screws down fingertight first and then lightly tightening each screw down while spinning the slipper shaft with your finger to make sure that the mesh sounds good.. you should be pretty good after that.
