So how does it attach to the XL? Looks like the front body posts are gone and shock mounts are part of the cage itself now.

Front is bolted down at front/top of the skid and rear looks bolted near back of the tub?

The front mounts where the front bumper use to with two bolts then there's a bolt attached to the steering brace and then there's two more attached to the main chassis on the rear. The front shock tower had to be chopped down and still uses the suspension link attachments.

So you have to undo 5 screws to change batteries then? Regardless, it looks awesome, what's the total weight of the new cage?

Awesome work tuner. Having the honor to own one of your chassis I can vouche for how insanely well built they are. "thumbsup""thumbsup"

Hope to see more of these. The extra weight though very slight will be a huge plus for the "Scale" aspect of the YXL.

once the Sh*t shocks are tossed this should soak up the bumps like no other.

Stock cage with spare tire is 2.4lbs. This cage without spare tire is 3.4lbs.
