Default New yeti xl here

So today I think I got myself a steal of a buy with my new Yeti XL it was a RTR but has been heavily upgraded and payed 835$ for it and a new RTR car is 1050$ here in Denmark.

It’s only been used a few times and shows almost no signs of wear and came with the following upgrades

From hot Racing :

Rear Lower Strut Tower Cross Brace
Aluminum Rear Shock Tower Cross Member
Aluminum Front Arm
Aluminum Adjustable Steering Bellcrank
Aluminum Sway Bar Front
Rear Torsional Sway Bar Set
Aluminum Rear Torsion Sway Bar Clamps
Aluminum AR60 Rear Axle Truss
Aluminum Front Clip

From GPM Racing

Steel #45 rear drive shaft
spring steel anti thread
Aluminum Front Arm
Spring Stell Front upper tie rod with aluminum ends
Aluminum Steering Knuckle
Aluminum Steering Knuckle
Aluminum Channel Rear Link Stiffeners
Aluminum Rear Upper links
Aluminum Rear Chassis Lower Link Mount
Aluminum Rear Chassis Upper Link Mount
Aluminum Rear Axle Housing
Aluminium rear damper mount

From Traxxas
17 mm Hex conversion for the wheels
ESC MXL-6s
TQi -TSM 5 channel received and 3 channel transmitter for the added support of TSM

Some LED lights
All the original parts
And 2 spare rims and tyres

So I have been reading up on stuff here and have already gotten some orders out for the following.

New servo : Savox sa1283sg Torque @ 6v - 30.0kg/416.67oz-in

A SBEC to deliver the steady 6v https://hobbyking.com/en_us/yep-20a-...ge-output.html

A Robinson racing 16t pinion

A Robinson racing 64t clutch

A full set of sealed bearings

Hot racing motor mount and motor mount plate

T-bone front bumper and chassis skid plate

It haven’t been shimmed in any part of the drive train so that has to be done when new bearing are installed along with the 3 bearing mod in front and back diff. I plan to upgrade front diff if and when it breaks down and will at some point also install 2 speed transmission

It also have 2 set of springs on the rear but I noticed that the weight of the car really sags the car down so will proberbly need new harder springs and heavier oil in the springs.

Any recommendations for shock oil and springs ?

Another thing I noticed is a clearance problem at the back shocks, because of the Aluminium rear damper mount there is not enough room for the roll cage to pass the top of the shocks when it’s closed down

Any suggestions what to do here ?

Looking forward to tinker with my YXL

Well I figured out the clearance problem with the shocks , the previous owner when installing 2nd pair of shocks had installed them on the outside, so ekstra shocks have been removed and now I just need new harder springs front and back

Got the T-bone racing stuff installed that I ordered looks parity solid, I had to dremmel some part of the front bumper off so it could be used to hold the front sway bar in place

Your pictures are coming in too big, not sure what you're using to upload but I'd shrink them at least 75% before posting since they're taking up the whole page plus some. Looks like the T-Bone A-arm skids fit nowadays, I never did hear back from T-Bone when they told me to send pics of mine not working on the stock arms but maybe I can restart that conversation.
