I'm about to build my stock shocks and was doing research on Spring rates and oil weights. It appears as if aluminum upgrades benefit the stock shocks quite a bit. Especially the quick bleed shocks from the hawk as well as HR racing Has anyone run the king shocks from RC 4WD? Curious if they're crap or legit..., I have a set of King faux Reservoir shocks on my Twin Hammers and once I got them bled they haven't leaked a drop. Thanks all. |

There are some shock caps orings from Associated, I believe, that will resolve the leakage issue. So there is no need to change the shocks at all

Hi guys, I'm curious about this, So this TA 16mm kit can be used to improve (or stop leaks) on the XL shocks? Mine is still in the box but parts are on their way. LOTs to research on this guy. Edit: I see this thread here, I'll read into it more. KIT Shock question. Last edited by Mayday!; 05-22-2018 at 03:37 PM. |

Yep! Never had a leak since I installed those orings. The problem is that the original silicone orings are too soft, so the shock body will cut thru it very easily. But the TA orings are far rigid so you won't have this problem anymore

And I' sure I bought from somewhere only the orings, not the entire set. I believe that I measure the orings and just bought them from ebay, like $2 10 pcs

If it's only the o-rings I need then I can just measure the shaft and pick up a couple of sizes. I'll take a look at the assembly for those shocks to see how they sit. |

It's not about the shaft's oring, it's about the oring that sit inside the cap, about 20mm in diameter

I took the o ring (inside the cap) out. Turns out it is not necessary at all...then it stopped leaking.
