| Found my first failure
Brand new never ran. I opened up the rear to do the 3 bearing mod and found this little guy waving at me.. You eyes DO NOT deceive you. That is a crooked bearing!!! Yes, I said croooked! The inner race is 90 degree to the shaft and the outer race, well, it's not. So, I took a small screwdriver and gave it a little pry and it "popped" back into the race. Spinning it between my finger I can feel the balls spinning and they seem a bit chunky. Going to try to get a warranty out of it. Want to take bets on how many runs I get out of it before it detonates? |

DO NOT run this car with its original bearings, it's rule no. 1 Everybody knows they are crap, although I never saw something like yours Sent from my E6653 using Tapatalk |

| Re: Found my first failure So to add further pain.. I mounted a light bar and it was dark so im like ok lets just run it around the back yard. second pass I hear this grinding crunching noise, thinking maybe I picked up a twig.. then the truck stops and the motor spins and grinds like a stripped pinion.. Yup literally 1 minute run. Pulled off the cover and the grub screw drops out.. nice looks oily as well, so even if they did use locktight (doubtful) it wont stick.. pinion doesnt look too bad, notice the metal shaving dust... Rolling it over the spur its real grindy so I'm gonna toss it. -Neo- |

I kid you not... the rtr yeti XL I bought during the Thanksgiving blow out sale had the same problem on the same bearing. I too opened the rear diff up to do the 3 bearing mod before running and saw it. I just pushed it back together with a screw driver. Was smooth after that.

Glad to see people are still buying these. After a few must haves these are incredibly fun RCs to drive and I have not touched my other vehicles since I got it. Sent from my Phone 2 using Tapatalk |
