And I also will be leaving the front diff open and putting in 500k diff fluid. I can't wait to spank guys with full lockers at the rock races/u4rc/terra cross events I go to with my Yeti.
The pan will be used.

"The way our rules are currently written the pan of the Yeti can be used. Based on the pictures, it is not that far off in shape and size to some of the existing 2.2 Trophy skids/pans. The fact that the class has an 8lb weight restriction should equalize the class to a point. It has so far. "

I also agree with the second part.

I had to spend some time this morning figuring out what my camera/software was locking up, it's fixed now. Then I had to take care of some honey-do's before I got back to taking the Yeti apart and getting more pics. I will have more pics up in a little while.

On the subject of the open/closed ifs debate.

I know it's a 1:1, but Shannon Campbell's IFS KOH rig seems to work really well on the rocks and high speed areas.

I'm not sure if he has a selectable locker set up, but from every video I have watched it looks locked.

Very interested in seeing this t-case.. Is there any gear reduction just within the case?

I'm surprised you don't already have a 6 page thread going without a single pic in it.

Thank you very much

I am convinced that if one day the Pure Spider Factory decided to build a vehicle IFS
well, then the hand market are full of Twin Hammers and Axial Yeti

As has been stated several times the 2 speed is an upgrade that will be out soon, so those parts are not included in the initial RTR package.

And here's probably the most anticipated pics of the Yeti, the transmission. This transmission has a ton of room in it for the low speed gears.

Ahhh I see the low range gear set doesn't come in it so it's not just locked into high as an RTR. I'll wait till RR comes out with non pot metal gears and upgrade the whole shebang at once.

Thanks for the pics, the t case setup is sweet.

Thanks for all the pictures Badger.

The tranny seems like a huge departure from Axial's past designs.
Hopefully we'll see good results from this new drivetrain.

I only hope those gears are not made of the same material as
Xr-10 gears and iron cross lockers. Cool pics thanks.

the bigger question is will it interchange with an SCX style transmission.

I think we all need to give Badger a round of applause for NOT DRIVING this awesomely new rig and instead taking very detailed pics of its innards. (or a round of thumbsup, because there's no applause smilie Thanks for taking the time to do this for all us who are just sitting around waiting for the next group of pics!
