| Jason's Axial Yeti
Got my Yeti the other day and have been dying to take it out and beat on it, but before I can I gotta get some pics going. Badger already got a ton of awesome shots in his thread HERE. I know I can't compete with his shots so instead I am going to be here today doing questions and answers. Is there something specific you want to see? Want to know the size of something? Ask the question and I'll do my best to find the answer. Keep in mind I am not a machinist nor am I an engineer, measurements are all close. Last edited by jason; 07-12-2014 at 03:43 PM. |

Awesome idea! I'd love to see pics of the hinge and body post/front shock tower area to get an idea on how long it'll last till I break the cage off. |

But wait a minute, if you put a shortcourse body on your Yeti, what do you do with the Yeti body? Hmm... I could see this working. The chassis is a bone stock scx10 Deadbolt. I present The Dead Yeti Last edited by jason; 07-17-2014 at 07:33 AM. |

The rear mounts on the chassis are just bars of the chassis, then on the body there are cool posts that let the body swivel if you just pull the front pins, or you can pull the rear pins and the clamps rotate out of the way allowing you to remove the body.

That is a clever mounting idea. Looks like I'll break it. Thanks for the pics! |

PRO TIP: My Yeti came with the battery hold down in it's highest position, which allowed my 3s 5000mah pack to move around a bit, before I run it I'll be sure to adjust this. Last edited by jason; 07-12-2014 at 03:39 PM.

Interested to see the how the tube frame looks minus the lexan body. Trying to get an idea if some ali panels would work. Also if the tube frame meets the chassis. Appreciate all the pics and help |
