All day long. Even run a .185 hub if you wanted to. Don't even need the extra clearance from the rotor. Just the 1.25" cans will and they can only go down to .225 hub.

what a terrible place for bulky hardware/a nut.

any idea if its the same size dia as a traditional e-clipped hinge pin?

Yes, I'll pull it and see if there's a hinge pin with E-clips that would swap in direct.

Couple of short Rock testing videos. Specs on the car are in the description of the video. The 500k diff is a definite improvement over stock.

Will it still steer with the fronts tucked in that much? No steering or contact issues at full lock?

Bench testing there is no clearance issue. I will run it maybe this evening with the new .225 hubs and going to bring he rear in some also. Want to do a turning radius test on pavement and see if the hubs are gonna make a noticeable difference or if it will mainly just be a track width adjustment.
We aren't gonna lock the front diff and we did swap 43/13 HD gears in the rear. If we have time, I'll swap a stock diff back in the rear and do a true test comparing everything for turning radius results.

I like the roof and bonnet but I'm not a fan of the side panels behind the cage, looking forward to seeing what else you do with this.

Ran the Yeti today at our local event. Completed both stages and two of the 4 bonus challenges. Other two were water and winch related so I didn't try those.
This was the most fun I've had running a rig at a comp and it blew through the obstacles with ease and speed.
My son ran his Wraith which is the same rig we used to comp with, just different rolling stock now.

After stage 1:

After stage 2:

Trevor ran the water challenge after the event and came back filthy.

Overall I'm super pleased with the Yeti, even though we've changed a few things from stock, it was the best handling rig and most fun to drive that I've personally run.

Cleanup was also a breeze. Just sprayed out the bottom tray. No breakage and nothing seems to be more worn than before.
I'll do a full inspection tomorrow.

We swapped the stock bumper out for an Exo bumper. Wanted better approach and a tighter fit when running our aluminum hood.

I was gonna swap the toe blocks and all but forgot a couple small pieces when I ordered everything for the swap. All I had to do to fit the Yeti for now was bolt in the Exo upper bumper support and grind the inside mounting edges of the lowering to for the width of the Yeti mount. Also if you want to run the stock shell, remove the grill and headlights from the body.
We've also had a problem with the driver side, lower control arm pivot screw, backing out. Tonight I drilled and installed a set screw in front of the head of the screw to prevent it from backing out. I'll get a pic tomorrow.

Not sure if it's possible with the yeti/exo knuckles, but a common fix for the same problem on a slashe is to install that pin from the front instead of the rear (or vice versa if normal installation is from the front). Something about the motion of the arms causes the screw to turn, so flipping it causes it to tighten instead of loosen

Not possible on the Yeti. It threads in from the front and there is not a nut in the backside that would allow you to simply flip it around.

Man, that looks great.. I like the spare tire on there and those panels look great, looking forward to getting my hands on one.. Also that exo front bumper looks clean, does it fit with no mods?

Throw a M3 Nylon locking nut in the chassis pocket. The plastic one is used to avoid cross threading and holds pretty well. The nylon locknut will eliminate your issue, just be careful and make sure its lined up.

Good to know. Hadn't investigated further to see if there was a way to get something in there.

I did this to mine and Jason's while we were in Colorado. It's a pain to fish in there but pretty overall an easy and cheap fix!
