A MMP will NOT fit in the fuel cell with the fan installed. If you remove that portion of the case then you could get it in there although the wires would be a fight.

Sorry, what rear SLW matches the front being the .225 you tested?

Which slw hub did you use in the rear?

I used a 475 but that is a little narrower than the front. I typically run a narrower rear. A 600 would more closely match if you were really worried about having them be the same.

I still have it removed from my Yeti, I can throw it in one of my spare Wraith cages to show you how it fits when I get home.

What about a SCX10, can you check that too?

I actually had to borrow a SCX10 to check the body before! But you asking makes me want to go see again! I don't have any SCX10's that are near stock!

Just an FYI for folks looking to upgrade the spider gears in their Yeti

HPI part HPI86014 fits perfectly in the stock differential case. They have the same 13T and 10T gears but have a slightly larger surface area and better mesh than the original gears. They also come with two sets per package and include shims to remove any slop.

This is the rear drive shaft length? Not much travel.

What about the front?

Correct, there is very little change overall. I'm hoping to confirm the MIP replacement equivalents soon.

I haven't really looked at the front length yet. I will try to do that. I don't suspect it will be on the immediate failure list for most people. We'll see how it handles the Pro4HD.

Any chance of checking the fitment of some Proline shocks front and rear, interested to see if there's going to be clearance issues on the front with the MIP shafts and the shock spring, as well if the eyelets or mounts will be an easy fit, or if they or something else may need to be modified in some fashion. Also was wondering if say the Proline Slash shocks are even long enough for the rear?

Any other potential shock options: Kyosho, RC4WD Kings, Traxxas Big Bores, or Losi would be nice to know as well while we are waiting on the boat.

I'll try and take a look at the shocks, no promise that I'll get to that right away though.

Hey guys got my yeti fuel cell from the local hobby store . If you cut the mounting posts off you can fit the yeti fuel cell between the wraith rear shock mounts after removing the wraith battery tray. I have a few pics of how it is. I did cut the mounting tabs off my Wraith battery tray to give my spektrum sps4210 avc receiver which is on the large side of receiver sizes a larger mounting area in the bottom of the fuel cell I screwed it in from the bottom. All wires and a Novak Glitch Buster fit in the box. I made an inline harness with the glitch buster to steering servo to minimize the amount of plugs since I am using the optional dig kit with the aux1 channel of the receiver. BEC, ESC, Steering servo and dig puts it at 4 inputs. I also added a pair of short extensions for bind and disable ports to make it easier to bind and disable the avc controls. I am considering having the bind ports externally ported to the rear of the fuel cell for added convenience . Here are a few shots with it mounted and the wires jammed in the box with my hand holding down the lid. I used a wood burner and welded the straps to the bottom and the rear at the tab I'll take better pics of it in the daytime tomorrow. I am surprised we haven't this done already

hopefully these links from Picasa-google plus work.
This build was my first and I used Vanquish products Currie front and rear axle housings and there cms/panhard kits with there 3/16 titanium steering and linkage kit. I have another vanquish Currie rear end for my pre-ordered Yeti!

I have added a chart with the width of the front and rear end with various SLW hubs to the first post.

Anyone know when axial will release front uni axles and 2speed upgrade??

Im also hoping they will offer something to fix the shit steering.. its a big down fall of the yeti :( most of the issue is in the servo saver, so much slop in it.

Cheers
Dan

Universals should be in stock within 30 days if I'm not mistaken.

Steering upgrades will start to trickle in. Check my build for some info on tightening the servo saver.
