I have been told that the steering post is just slightly larger then it should be to accept a 5mm ID bearing. I **Have been told** that its possible to sand down the post to accept the bearing rather then the LOOSE plastic bushing that it comes with. Again, this is all 2nd hand info. That's why I was wandering. Ours went on without any mod, pretty much the way bearings should fit, "interference fit"

I just recently bought the sealed bearing kit for the yeti transmission and to be completely honest, they don't really fit the tranny cases without a ton of slack and I don't think the tolerances for Transmissions really allows this while on the other hand the stock bearings allow no slop at all ....what's you're fix or idea for this ? Feel like I just wasted $25 bucks on useless bearings ...

All the bearings I have gotten (5 sets or so) from fast Eddie have been flawless. Bummer man. Call them. They will take care of you! |

I just changed all my bearings on the Yeti to fast eddies and had no problems
