| Axial Yeti: Rear Sway Bar Quick Disconnect Kit
Our latest product for the Axial Yeti is the Quick Disconnect Kit for the Rear Sway Bar. This kit functions just like its 1:1 counterparts that are commonly found on Jeeps. The kit comes with everything needed and no modifications are required on the Axial Yeti to install it. The kit replaces the lower link bolt at the axle mount with a machined stainless pin and clip. There are new machined 6061 upper mounting brackets that attach to the existing holes in the rear part of the chassis with the included hardware. This is how it works: Replace the original screw and lock nut at the axle side link mount for the sway bar with the new stainless quick pin. Install the upper brackets to the rear chassis bar with supplied hardware. To disconnect rear sway bar, simply pull the clip and pin from the lower mounting position, rotate the sway bar up so that the links now install into the new machined upper brackets, install the pin and clip and that's it. No tools to carry on the trail, no parts are removed from the truck to possibly lose, and the swap is quick and easy. This kit is aimed at the guys who will be locking the front diff and looking to focus on crawling, like getting lots of flex, or the cool factor of carrying a tire through a high speed corner Baja style. Does not hinder suspension travel. Spare tire carrier is still an option. Available raw or anodized flat black. I replaced my lower bolts with a set of body clips. When I want them engaged, I put them in place and put the body clips in to secure them. If I want then disengaged, then I put them up through my rear chassis and use the body clip to hold them in that disengaged position. Not sure if this is possible with other rear sways, but I use the HR ones. |
