Default SLWs with 225??

Will the inside ring clear the nut and bolt on the A arm? I have these other hubs, not sure exactly what they are, that have the same bolt pattern, which seem to bind up...
Thanks!

I'm running SLW and 350 with a 1/16" spacer (so between a 350 and 475 and still get rubbing).

Why does everyone want so narrow in the front? Stability is lost with being narrow. Front wide, rear narrow for some amazing steering is where I'm at.

Wide is just fine for U4 or bashing but narrow is better for G6 events, gotta make it thru the gates.

You have to remember not everyone is doing the same as the other guy with this rig.

you can get Gear Head slw widener rings, so its cheaper than buying new slw hubs if you are unsure of what you want. RPP has them. They step you up 1 size so your 225 become 350's.

I get that, but the few G6's Ive done and seen, the gates are plenty wide. I make a wide Class 3 Wraith fit through 13" wide SORCCA gates.

I still would rather have steering and stability for a G6 as much as for bashing and racing. Take a second slow down, squeeze in between the gates, more go power.

And so will it clear with the 350? And what about the vanquish knuckles? Will they clear with the slw wheels and 350s?

Why are you saying being wider is giving you more steering?

As narrow as possible is how I have mine setup and there is no more steering to be had out of any of the components.

For anything in the rocks, I want this truck set to it's narrowest setting.

A wider front track with a narrower rear track will give more steering by changing the rear inner tire acting as a pivot. This is used in RC and full size racing. Won't help on slow speed turns, does help in fast corners.

I'm still building the Yeti to be a U4 racer that will handle G6's. It's not a rock truck exactly, I'll use the other toys for pure rock crawling.

I agree with Harley on the track width.

I have the .7 wide slws on mine right now with a 225 hubs and it just clears. With a 1" wheel I would run a 475 hub. I wouldn't want to run hub spacers on a heavy go fast rig like this but that's just me.

Do you think the 475s are the narrowest hubs for a 1" slw that will clear the inner ring with stock knuckles?
What about once I upgrade to vp knuckles any strc carriers ?

You can remove the lower screw and nut from the outer hinge pin and go to a captured setup like the EXO used. This will improve your clearances a little.

With a completely locked truck I would be interested to see if that had almost any effect. With the same width rear.
