Any other shock options?
 

The axial shocks r ok but has any one tried another route? I saw someone using some custom kyoshos but didn't want to drop 175 $ on a set...

Front you have plenty of options, I've yet to find a good option for the rear yet myself. Its long and allows a good deal of compression. I can usually find extended length, but not with the same compressed length, or vice versa.

Only other shock is a hpi savage for the rrar I think..

I am using the Proline Pro-Spec front shocks with the purple springs and longer rod ends. They are AMAZING. Still experimenting with the rear.

I pulled my proline powerstrokes off the rear of my slash 4x4 and put them up front...

Had some dual rate springs from my HR shock off my wraith I tossed on the stock back shocks. I like the feel of them so far.

These fit nice on the front. I just used some Slash proline springs to adjust rates.

I've never seen a RC4WD shock work well. Haven't owned those, but scale size and shock doesn't end up working IMO

I thought of even using an 1/8 scale shock like the big bores from losi monster truck? I am sure some upgraded shock will come out soin

I Used topcad 12/13cm crawler shocks on the rear. They are inner-spring crawler shocks, and come with several spring hardnesses and long&short lower eyelet thingies. The pistons are teflon, some rather chunky rubber rings for sealing are included too. The shock shafts are a seriously fat 5mm (!). Filled them with 20 weight oil. Work way better than the stock shocks.
Only shame is that they are...green... Ugh.. Gonna ditch them in oven-cleaner to get that fuddugly green anodizing off.

With the stock shocks the Yeti wallowed around like a drunk jellyfish. The springs are geared more towards crawling, I guess, but I use the Yeti more like a SC. Rear diff-locker replaced with HPI diff gears. Then filled with 100.000wt diff oil/goop.

I think 1/8 truggy rear shocks will work great if different upper links are made to allow the extra clearance needed by the larger diameter shock (16mm).

Or somehow mount one single losi lst monster truck shock right in the middle.

97mm d8 shocks are too big diameter to drop in place up front, but it looks like if you dremeled just a bit from the tower to clear the shock cap, and dremeled about 1/8" off the front section of the a-arms ballend mount to move the springcup away from the axleshaft they would fit. maybe.
