|  Ottsix Voodoo U4 on YETI- Punch vent hole in tires?
I was hoping someone with the Ottsix U4 tire could clarify one thing for me. A am using the U4 tire on the Crawler Innovations 6 hole plastic glue on wheels. The wheels have a pre formed spot to drill them for a vent. Should I drill out the hole in the wheel or punch a hole in each tire? Also is there a trick to gluing the tires in straight to keepo from getting wobble? |

I just glued my set up. I like to use a leather punch to put 2-4 equally spaced holes centered in the tread area of each tire.

Punch is easiest if you have one. 1/8th punch and 4 holes is plenty.

The hole size does impact the compression and refill of air in the tire. So the final size is really going to be based on tire/foam combo anyway. I just buy from Crawler Innovations now...not only good prices and service, but Eddie and the team always punch holes in tires when you buy them from him in a combo pack with the CI foams. | |
