Default What did you do to/with your Yeti today?

I got tired of looking at it sitting there, still brand new never run, everything is there but it needs stuff.

So I decided to do something about it, I ordered a ssd wide axle, slw hubs, vp castor blocks, ssd steering blocks, vp steering posts, vp steering rack, vp shock adjuster, vp shock tower, vp bell cranks, vp motor plate, and vp cam.

I already have ssd beadlocks with ci foams and voodoo u4s waiting to go on it.

Installed hot racing shock upgrade. When compressed oil squirts out the pinhole. What's up with that?

My DLUX's front axle cups? grub screws were loose, I might try some red loctite eventually.

That was a poorly written sentence!

Went out bashing today(5/4/17) and kept checking the set screws on the DLUX drive cups and all was well. I think they came loose the first time due to grease or CorrosionX getting into the threads.

I lost my front body clips going off of a jump, and think I need to refill my shocks with oil, maybe change weights in the rear. The car keeps kicking like a mule. I stopped playing after the end of the rear upper control arm snapped. Right where the upper control arms connect to the rear axle.
I finally ordered new foams and they are on the way. Double Deuce 6.0” Standard Inner / Medium Outer.

I'm in the same boat with the Method wheels. I thought maybe I over tightened the hubs.

Magic Yeti- Yeah I need to order some.

Ruined my kit stock tires. Received my tires,Scorpios, and new foams and cut my old tires out because I super glued them. Well there was still tire around the wheel. So got a jar and filled it with acetone a little bit. This morning the rubber/tire came right off. aagghhh, damn my impatience! Also the bottom of the jar was warm, must be some chemical reaction. The jar was on a tile floor all night, about 60F.
I just got home from Home Depot and forgot to purchase more acetone, aghgh.

Chasing the right suspension setup has been a long process (for me anyway). Most of the time I change one thing and run that setup for weeks at a time. Finally decided to loose the spare tire, and went back to stock rear shock pistons. Poured some 35 wt oil in the shocks, again, and feels about right for my driving style/conditions. I finally settled on white rear springs. They were used in order to have springs compressed slightly while the suspension was at maximum extension.

Did a little gender modification...

Bought a Yeti from a guy on here.

Converted it to a Score. Still need a wider rear, spare, and interior.

Did more testing with shock oil in proline xt setup.
Front still sags with 45wt.
Going to try stiffer springs, then see if i need thicker oil.
I suspect springs though. Handles great over whoops. Just cant take hard landings with the sag and 45wt.
Rears are near perfect with 15wt, but i have 25 that will try just for poops and laughs.

But as of right now its great for high speed over bumpy stuff.
Just glad i got it stop popping dogbones and shredding c hubs and knuckles.

Flipped my RTR and broke a lower link in resulting tumble. Now trying to decide whether to replace with stock or upgrade to aluminum. Also which sway bar to install to tame squatting.

Got a chance to run the yeti again, this time with the 2000kv 1/8 scale motor on 3s. It's still to slow and sounded like the slipper was a little loose. Also the damn kingpins fell out again!

Now time to replace them again and find a smaller spur
