Default Yet Another Yeti Build

Okay, so I've never been one to do a build thread, so figured I'd start one for my Yeti. It has been dubbed

Special yEDi.

Picked it up about a week and a half ago and have gotten one full run out of it. Very first run I lost a grub screw/cross pin out of the drive cup form the transfer case to the front diff. Broke the passenger's side carrier Tuesday at the end of a decent run during my lunch break. Figured I'd hit this little jump one last time before calling it a day.....

Anyway....here it is in all of its broke-down glory. Have a set of UCFab anno'd trailing arms and uppers on order, as well as a set of STRC Gunmetal Carriers I just ordered today. More to come!!!!!

Got these beauties in the mail Friday afternoon. Haven't installed them just yet, as I'm waiting for my STRC caster blocks to arrive. I will say with absolute certainty, though.....

Pictures do NOT do these justice!

Just ordered a new HH Trailmaster servo for the yEDi oh a whim. Probably gonna' be in the doghouse for a bit until I sell my MRC to recoupe the cost. But should be well worth it in the end. Pics when it comes in.

So my HH servo and STRC knuckle carriers are in. Pics this evening when I get home. Ordered a CC BEC and Axial 25T servo horn this morning. Also awaiting the arrival of a pair of Axial Ti kingpins. Will also be ordering a set of SSD Scale knuckles shortly.

So here's the assortment of parts that will be fitted to my Yeti sometime between now and tomorrow evening.

Depends on how many times I get called for work as to how much I get done tonight, but I've already discovered that I'm out of connectors to properly wire up my BEC the way I want, so that'll be done tomorrow. Tonight will likely consist of getting the front end pieced back together and get the toe & camber properly adjusted.

That said.....let the games begin!

Well....been busy with work but did manage to get the front end completed, at least until more upgrades are in order. Pics when I get back on my desktop.

Will likely install trailing arms and such later this evening.

Stay tuned!

So here's the damage from the wreck that downed the yEDi for two weeks. Turns out I had a stripped stock wheel, too. My RTR was apparently built before Axial updated the hexes & hubs, so I had to order them from Axial

Pics of the front end all buttoned up. I did have some minor adjustments to make to correct camber and toe, but it tracks pretty straight at the moment.

Really do like these SSD Scale Knuckles, too! Thanks again, Dicky!

Traxxas 3643 Turnbuckles w/ Revo balls

And....all buttoned up for now. Still need to install my HH BL400 servo, but figure I'll wait until I get the steering rack sorted before I do that. Wouldn't want to snap the stock stuff with gobs of servo torque! Will probably go with the STRC stuff in gunmetal to keep the theme going.

Can see the color of the UCFab Anno'd Trailing Arms here. Great quality part!

Installed the STRC bellcrank kit and posts last night. What a beating! Had to remove the front diff to remove the center drive shaft so I could get the rack into place. Not hard....just time consuming. But it's all back together now. Have some slight servo issue at this point, so still working on it. Pics later this afternoon.

Yeah its a good thing that its not something you need to get at very often. I ended up removing the transmission/transfer case to get at mine.

Picked up a set of Pitbull RBII's on lunch (pics later) and then ordered up a set of CI Deuces Wild tall foams and CI foam bumper insert. Ordering Gearhead Lightweight U4 wheels (silver) and Gear hubs shortly.

Edit: Wheels, hubs, and STRC upper rear shock mount braces ordered.

CI Foams and bumper insert arrived today. Eddie hooks a brotha' up on stickers! Now waiting for wheels, hubs, hardware, upper rear shock mount and then need to order a new rear housing (DLux), along with longer DLux upper links and CF truss.

I love how every time I click in to this thread I am greeted at the top by a busted up, sad faced Yeti!

Just realized I never posted up the reason I ordered Beef Tubes and have to order a new rear housing from DLux.

Too many hard landings on the rear wheels in the grass off my 19" tall kicker ramp Sunday.....
