I'm currently running a Hitec HS-7954SH and I can't handle the high pitch sound. Anyone have a good recommendation for a servo? I am looking at the Futaba S9352HV, anyone have experience with it? Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk |

Why? Is your ear right up against your truck? Really? |

Something may be wrong with mine because the slightest turn of the wheel and it squeals. Loud enough to where if I'm working on the truck in my workshop, my wife can hear it up stairs. If you guys have recommendations or a solution to stop the squeal, I would love to hear it. |

Both my Hitec 7950TH servos have a high pitched sound. It's just the nature of digital servos trying to hold center. I am currently using the Futaba brushless servo, and it's quieter than the Hitec's but the sound is still there. You'll learn to ignore it. |

No recommendations sorry. I got used to the wraith's 7950 making noise crawling around. I thought Hitec's were noisy until i put in a Savox in my 1/8th scale Rival. I don't notice the Yeti or the Wraith after running the Rival.

Squeals? Do you have any binding in the steering? Can you post a video of said squealing? Maybe something is with with the servo, they should not squeal... |

I took the servo back to the LHS I got it from and they exchanged it for a new one. Got the new one in and it's much more tolerable. Not sure what the issue was with the first one but it's fixed now. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk |

My Savox SB2270-SG makes a right noise but it's because it's digital, and to be honest i rather like it. It's odd that you want to ditch yours because of how it sounds, but feel free to post it to me I can always use a spare. PM me for my address :p

| ![]() Spoke with my buddy at the LHS today after they replaced mine. He said they opened the servo up and the plastic inside was melted a bit and it looked like the pin that went into the motor had a slight bend to it. He thinks that was causing a bind in the motor and the squeal sound.

Ah so it wasn't the loud digital clicking sound they normally make then. Good job you had them look into it!

Just to add, my hitec 7980 squealed like a mouse. It was the motor bushings that needed lube.
