Default SSD knuckles rubbing axles

Anyone else have this issue? The bit of slop in the axles seem to be binding a bit in the knuckle when turning, makes a clicking sound as it rubs, it appears the movement is normal in the shaft as I see no way of getting it out

I use the Axial universals and they don't hit them even at full lock.
Are you using the stock dog bone set up?

The knuckles don't rub anywhere that I know of.

The clicking is the universal not the knuckle. Have you removed the O rings from the drive cups?

The clicking is the universal just I can feel it binding slightly? Didn't do it with the plastic knuckles, it's the shafts that came with the kit.. Sorry wish I knew how to explain it better, I didnt remove any orings. Il take it apart again with the manual in front of me when I get home

The binding is also the universal.

The pivot point in the universals is not inline with the knuckle king pins. This causes them to bind slightly.

If you look at the knuckles from the front you will see what I mean.

Ahh I see what you are saying! I will take em apart when I get home and do that, let you know how it goes. Now that's great customer service! Even though it's user error lol

Mine work smooth as butter too. Not much left on the front end that's stock though. Are your bearings seated properly?

So how do align the universal pins with the king pins?

In your video you have to much movement in the universal.
Like CREEPINKING said did you make sure your inner bearing was seated in the knuckle?

It also looks like your knuckle may be upside down.

Ok, so I had to adjust the turnbuckles when I first put on the ssds to get the toe straight, I adjusted it back to manual spec and put the plastic back on, no click at all until I compress the shock with the a arm, and even then not bad really ,slight... So I guess I just have to adjust the turnbuckles to get it perfect with the ssds

I dont think the turnbuckle/toe setting will make any difference.

Also you cant fix the kingpin/universal alignment as it is the way it has been designed.

Looking at the video, there is definately too much movement in the universal.

As others have said, I would make sure the bearings are seated 100% in the knuckles.
