Default RcBros Perfomance Yeti

Well, Two is always better then one but upgrading one is always better then two . With that comes Yeti #2 in kit forum.

I've been trying to hold off on this build while I wait for parts, but the back ordered parts are taking to long and I just can't wait to get started.

So I'll start with what we have so far, this should be a fun build!

This picture features a few goodies from Crawler Innovations, Ottsix, Fast Eddy, DCW, Vanquish, STRC, and Robitronics. I've got several more parts on the way.

Are those glue on wheels? They look good.

Yes sir, Glue on and made to order. The DCW wheels are pretty sweet. I told him what I wanted, and about 8 days later I had them at my door step

Wanted to try and get something done before I left for the SuperBowl Game

First thing I did was make a mess by squeezing the diff fluid to tight. I will likely go with some thicker oil soon.

Directions are pretty straight forward, except call me crazy but the directions show the ring gear in two different positions. Diagrams show it driver side, then the direction from top view picture show is passenger side . We'll see if it matters shortly

Added some Pro Boat marine grease to make things messy.

Finished the front per page 12.

Don't feel bad. The very first bottle of shock oil Iever bought got squeezed so hard the nozzle bounced off the ceiling and about half of the oil ended up on the kitchen table.

Duuuuuuuude makes some cool wheels. I can't wait for mine to show up. I'm going bead lock front, glue on back for clearance. Nice group of parts you have there Will.

Enjoy the game, let's go Seahawks!

SLOW progress tonight. But got to play a little bit. Super Shafty rear locker for the back

More marine grease for the lube and Fast Eddy bearings

Stock axles needed a few shaves off

Rear is done

I think your front body mount is on the wrong side of the front bulkhead (page 12 - step 3)

Yes it is. It will interfere with the shocks there.

Why did you have to shave rear axle shaft?

Wasn't allowing the lockouts to sit flush.

Not sure what you mean there. My instructions only show it one way. The instructions will test you later on though, showing wrong part numbers on SEVERAL occasions... I was also short 2 screws....

Anyway, I did read one or two posts about the front diff being wrong. Mine seemed to go together ok, but the car went in reverse initially. I just swapped some Motor/ESC wires around. Don't know if that was the right thing to do.

You may have got a new version, after talking with others I wasn't the only one. O'well

My goal is to make this bad boy a roller this weekend. Had a computer melt down which took me awhile to fix. Realized I need a new version of photoshop to Edit RAW but my vista doesn't support it. So back to the old school way.

Anyways, these are nifty universals. Lets up they hold up

Got our DMG Yeti Link Pin stiffners installed along with some more goodies.

For some strength I added the STRC front block as well. Nice little piece

Next up was the STRC Steering link kit.

After installing and cycling the steering I did notice the bellcrank needing some minor trimming. 10 seconds on a dremel and that was complete.

Rear end is complete. Tossed on a set of our Burly Arms on the stock links and about to join the back to the remaining chassis
