Default Bashing vs crawling upgrades

Ok guys so let's see what would be on your list and in what order you would do them and what you would leave stock. Please specify what you are going for weather it's bashing or crawling. And by crawling I mean anything that involves rocks.

Driver skill is everything😏. Big bloks's rig is real stock and he gets after it, the rig is real capable of doing it all. Is it a kit or rtr? Lots of upgrades in kit. Knuckles, carriers, a arms, if the budget allows driveline

I beat my truck hard, love all the stock plastic in everything but the axles and steering components. First thing is locking the diff. Heavy fluid would also work (i've tried both) but preferred just locking it out. A pro4 HD also does the trick

If your going to bash your yeti, and your just getting started, I highly recommend doing the yetiX conversion from CBERCFAB to replace the axial IFS with the traxxas slash 4x4 IFS. This will eliminate all the issues you will have up front!

I only bash my yeti kit. So far I have installed beef tube and vp lockouts on the rear axle, and different IFD axial wheels. I didn't need the beef tube but I had it laying around and thought it may settle the rear down a bit. Also my yeti took a hard hit to the rear axle coming down from some big air. The rear axle shaft bent from the plastic lockout flexing, so thats why I installed the beef tube and lockouts. The kit version wheels crack easily. Everything else is stock except some suspension tuning and front sway bar. As of now the next upgrades next will be, rpm a arms, strc front hinge pin carrier, and some sort of hinge pin. My stock hinge pins are really bent right now. I hope to not upgade much after that, but we will see.
I also would like to tighten up the servo saver a bit, I dont think I want to lock it out just yet. My yeti is enjoyed how it is, and I am going to try and upgrade as little as possible.

Hell yea you can crawl with the yeti. It actually works well.like I have stated before it's all driver skill.the yeti is a lot of fun to drive because it can do it all. It's not a comp crawler, or a wraith, but still fully capable. Good people ENJOY and haters can

Default Bashing vs crawling upgrades

I bash my yeti and I haven't had a problem since I cut some pieces of aluminum tube to fill in tube gap in the a-arm and it has taken some pretty hard hits and no issues yet

for trailing and crawling i did a rear sway bar delete ,locked the front diff , changed to hex hubs , metal camber and toe links ,geared down ,and softer tires . the truck worked well

Nope, stage 1 is $99 and you can pic up a used slash 4x4 traxxas ifs for a about $75. Cost way more to go through and upgrade arms, knuckle, chubs, axles, hd gears, pins, bulkhead, and tierods for the yeti and it's still not as tough as a slash front after you do. There just no comparison. You can by a custom rear axle housing only for $500+, so I think a complete traxxas ifs with rpm upgrades, full Metal skid plate, and a chomoly output is a deal for under $300

Just to give you an idea I have about $165 into my front end. And I did get some cheaper parts in here.

HR knuckle + C - $52.76
RPM arms - $11.79
36" 1/8 drill rod - $6.67
4x 1/8 collars - $4.75
ST front skid - $13.89
HR steering bearing - $14.88
HD gears - $27.99
Traxxas 3745 turnbuckles - $11.38
Dlux front bulkhead - $20.00

Cool, should hold up pretty good, yetiX is not for everyone. There's definitly cheaper options, it's like everything in this hobby, it just depends on how far you want to take it and how durable you want to be. YetiX is designed for giving bashers maximum strength for your front end. I will be starting a build soon to show just how far you can take it.
