Still all stock on shocks and spring, I just rebuilt it with 30wt oil and Max out preload in the rear for this video for the extra weight of the spare tire.

This trophy wil not out run your slash lcg or sc10 or any lcg sct but it will out fun all sct by so many level coz it just glides over all types of surface with ease and does it beautifully. The scale look of this whole make it so pretty just to look at.

I really like the way it looks better then the SCT's as far as an actual trophy truck goes.

Obviously this yeti mod works for any sct body, I pulled out 4 year old beaten up slash body and fitted it in the same way it looks almost just as good.

i'm doinf a similar build. my current MIP driveshaft is too long. i wish mip would post the actual lengths of their shafts as well. i cut mine down by a few mm and it is hitting the dead spot inside the female shaft and none of the splines are connecting. so im not sure what male shaft to order to make it all work.

Have you check the mip shaft for the wraith or scx10 if that is shorter? You can alway get it going by using the stock short shaft until get a mip one to fit. With the smaller sc wheel there is less stress on these shafts. Mines have been holding up very well and I run only on 3s and bash them pretty hard.

I took it out for another run today to retune the front suspension to ready for track day, it seems I need to add a front sway bar before hitting the track with it. I will definitely make another track day video so stay tuned

I too will be getting a yeti to do th short course conversion to for racing with, along with some scale trail driving hence all my curiosities along the way.
Purposely chose to follow with a yeti instead of a sc10 or similar for the realism aspect so i hope I can maintain a degree of competitiveness with my kit.

I am glad you like this build but I must be honest with you the yeti platform is great fr scale realism but it is not the best for race track time going up against act like sc10 or any lcg sct platform. we just can't go above the law of physics. The yeti is much heavier up high which give it the realistic scale look and suspension travel. It is very difficult to get any record time on the track. Now with that said I will still try. Haha

Yes try is all we can do. I'd prefer to race knowing I have the scale correct setup. I'm not out to win but If I can that will be a bonus.
It will probably end up with a fairly low kV motor setup yet pending on what my local race club want me to stick to.

Took it to the track today and ran it on 3s. it handled great and jumpedbeautifully. No flipping during hard cornering.
I installed a light sway bar for front to help with the cornering and it worked great. Picture for now video to be up soon.

Nearly all the current crop of SCTs being raced are basically 1:8 buggy platforms but with 1:10 wheels and a truck shaped body. A scale or at least solid rear axle trophy class in its own right would be pretty awesome.

The truck has some great air time! No nose diving at all right? And the slo mos are awesome as the course itself is. Nice spot!
Now, get rid of the people in the background for the scale looks Just kidding.

I assume you have a steady cam rig and run with it? Or do you even use a gimbal?

I need to get out there and build me some bumps too!
Around here in West Texas I cannot even find a dirt mogul a foot high ...

where in the hell did you find a complete set of the proline wheels? everywhere I look only has pairs of every single design in the right offsets. cannot find a matching set of slash front and scte offset wheels anywhere.. :(
