Has anyone had any clearance problems when using a Holmes hobbies locker. I can't for the life of me get it to drop into the axle housing. I've ran it for a while in the stock plastic housing with no problems. It's like either the locker with the bearings on is too wide, or the housings machined spots for the bearings need to be a hair wider. It's sooo close

Alright, I got impatient and did some sanding on the bearings and got it to all fit together.

Would you guys consider packaging the stronger shafts with the unit. The stock ones are no good. Its like theyre made out of breadsticks. I bought the wide version from Amain a few weeks ago and the axle snapped at the pin after a few runs. Returned it but would buy it again if it had stronger axles

Hello,

sorry for highjacking thread: i recently bought ssd wide diamonda axle and ssd hd shafts. Couple of questions:
- when putting in pinion gear should i use two bearings or just one?
- are those bearings different sizes or same - i have trouble setting them correclty - tbh inner one is causing issues
- if anwser to above is "use some force" - how much is enough?

issues described above are 1mm space between main axle parts. Even if i managed to get them correctly lined up and no space is between them problems with spinning the gears appear. I cannot move them freeely until i loosen the screws holding the housing. And still this movement is not smooth.

Any ideas how to solve it and what can be the cause?

Thanks in advance. Best regards
-dm

Has anyone got a pair of axles in black and noticed the finish on one is more glossy while the other has a more matte tone to it? I got two offset fronts.
