| Yeti with very little front suspension travel
Hey all. I am building the yeti from kit, and it's my first Axial ride. I have associated and traxxas kits, and old Optimas from the 80's, so this isn't my first rodeo. This kit, I imagined when I bought it, would be all about suspension articulation. However, it appears that the kit doesn't have much in the way of travel up front. Am I just getting some binding, or is this the range axial expects? Thanks. https://flic.kr/p/v7S5eV https://flic.kr/p/v7yYiz |

Looks like your axles are bottoming out in your drive cups. I had the same problem. The axial drive axles are too long. Some people have called axial and got replacements. I took the advice of another member and ordered GPM axles. They have been working great so far

Don't be a snarky jerk. I said "am building" not "have built" so how could I have bent the uv's? Quote:

Good info! Thanks so much! For the time being, I modified the suspension geometry to travel in an arc more perpendicular to the ground and things have freed up. It was the ball cups. If I modify anything, it will be metal knuckles or rpm arms, so I won't explore other options until then. Quote:

Well, I too found the issue while building a yeti and I did a ton of work to help everyone out. As for being a snarky jerk - maybe...but if you're upset from my comments, I'll just stay out of your threads. However, if you search the forums, you'll find a ton of great information that will help you find and fix any and all issues you come across in your build.
