Good because I put the stock shafts in tonight and bent them doing donuts in the grass. Lol

So my brain finally woke up! So I installed the vanquish shafts back in the axle and made a 4mm shim to put inside the spool to keep the axle shafts from being able to slide in and out and the hexes away from the bearing caps. Works awesome.

Just a quick update on this issue...
We think we have a solution for this now. We will be making HD upgrade shafts very soon...

Excellent news....any chance of replacement parts for current owners on exchange or discount?

The new shafts will not be much more expensive than the current replacement shafts as we are not going to charge a premium for them even though the material is more expensive. So the discount is built into the price. The new HD shafts include more than just shafts...

Well done SSD, I'm sure everyone running your axle will be happy and it makes the product an attractive choice for those looking for a axle upgrade.

I have to say that I'm very impressed with SSD's innovation and the attention they are giving the community. It's rare these days for a company to be not only active on the boards, but to address problems rather than just blow them off.

I'm doing research for a yeti build atm and love the simplicity/design of the SSD diamond housing, but I am weary of the number of bent axles.

Can't wait to see how the new HD axles hold up.

I just got some titanium axle shafts from CBRB for my SSD axle. I haven't had a chance to test them yet though.

Awesome news!

Both of my axle shafts bent so I am out of commission until my replacement set comes in from RPP.

That being said, I love my SSD axle!

Cool. Because I just bent one of my brand new shafts on it's 1st run.

Switching gears, what's the best rod end to use for the Yeti's lower arms. Mine keep ripping to shreds.
