Motor suggestions for Yeti U4 racing So I have read a bunch of different threads on here and still cannnot come to a conclusion as what size motor I should get for my upcoming Yeti U4 build. As everyone knows U4 racing is a mix of go fast and slow speed rock crawling. I was thinking of getting the Tekin pro4 3300kv, what say everyone on here? This will be paired with a Castle MMP and probably 2s. Thanks John |

Re: Motor suggestions for Yeti U4 racing Agree with Jester. I currently run the standard size 540 in my Wraith U4 because of the size limits I have. Running 3S on any conditions. |
Re: Motor suggestions for Yeti U4 racing I know Jester just recommended Holmes Hobbies. From what I understand he designed and built that motor specifically for the Axial Yeti. I don't think there's a better motor out there. |
Re: Motor suggestions for Yeti U4 racing Thanks for the replys everyone. Maybe i should have been more specific, but what i was mostly wondering was what Kv range to use for this type of racing? I know there are alot of variables, but a good starting point from someone who has done it would be awesome. Thanks John |
Re: Motor suggestions for Yeti U4 racing the one posted in the link or the one you have listed is good. 4000 kv or higher for 2 cell, 3300 or around is good for 3 cell. |
