Motor suggestions for Yeti U4 racing

So I have read a bunch of different threads on here and still cannnot come to a conclusion as what size motor I should get for my upcoming Yeti U4 build.

As everyone knows U4 racing is a mix of go fast and slow speed rock crawling. I was thinking of getting the Tekin pro4 3300kv, what say everyone on here?

This will be paired with a Castle MMP and probably 2s.

Thanks
John

Holmes Hobbies LLC

or the pro 4, on 2/3 cell depending on the track

Agree with Jester. I currently run the standard size 540 in my Wraith U4 because of the size limits I have. Running 3S on any conditions.

I know Jester just recommended Holmes Hobbies. From what I understand he designed and built that motor specifically for the Axial Yeti. I don't think there's a better motor out there.

Thanks for the replys everyone.
Maybe i should have been more specific, but what i was mostly wondering was what Kv range to use for this type of racing?

I know there are alot of variables, but a good starting point from someone who has done it would be awesome.

Thanks
John

the one posted in the link or the one you have listed is good. 4000 kv or higher for 2 cell, 3300 or around is good for 3 cell.
