Default Axial Yeti Servo Saver Mod

I know a lot of people don't like having an integrated servo Saver on the yeti. They way I fixed it was by plastic welding it (heating up the plastic and melting it together) this stops it so it doesn't work any more. What you have to do is at the seam where the plastic pieces meet is melt it there. All you will need is a soldering iron and maybe some extra plastic to melt on to it. Hope this is helpful

you can just take out the spring and put two 10x15x4 bearing in with a rubber o-ring too . works great

I did that for a while and blew out 3 nice servos really fast. I went to just stiffening the spring. Just be cautious

With the ways available to lock the servo I'd probably not choose plastic fusion.

I just locked it with some shoe goo. And Awraith- locking the saver isn't for all applications or cheap servos.

This is what I did.. If you have access to a lathe you can also machine an aluminum bushing.. That's what my cousin did..

My Dude Rang has been in mine since Duuuuuude first had them out.

Still on a not so awesome Savox servo. But I race, and bash, this truck isn't a crawler.

Bearing mod is the easy, cheaper (free?) and probably the best way.
Still leave a little bit of servo saver but very tight.
I use it with a Savox SV-1270TG and it's all good.

I second the dude rang.
No problems yet and I crawl and rip my yeti around. It survived axialfest terraX with a hitech 7950 on 7.4 volts.

I am new to the Yeti world. Picked up a kit last week. Just by chance it will be a Holmes outfitted Yeti. I happened to have a Holmes servo laying around and I ordered a Holmes ESC and the 540XL.

I looked for the Duuuude ring but found that he is out of stock. For now I used some shims that Fast Eddy used to make for the Wraith front axle. I added probably an 1/8 of an inch of shims to the spring. Tightened it up a bit.

I checked, I don't see the shims listed on Fast Eddy's website.
