Exclamation Helios RC - Yet-Eyes V2

We've got some exciting news for you guys! With the release of some new models from our pals at Axial we're re-releasing the famous Yet-Eyes. This time they are available in an updated design.

We need your help though. As usual, the design team went overboard and gave multiple options. I've narrowed it down to two and need your input on which one we release. There are two options, and we want to release one.

Option A:
These have the new LED light elements and allows the use of the strip segments. This allows us to get different colors and options very easy. Option a has the lights flush mounted to the front of the lights. This still provides protection, but looks clean and smooth.

Option B:
This is the same styling as A, but with the lights recessed. There are two angles on the back allowing 2/3 of the light to be pushed forward, and 1/3 to be pushed more to the side.

At the end of the day, they are both cool looking and we want to keep the community involved in our product development. These will not be available directly from us, the will be from one of your favorite hobby shops.

These will be available in completed lights with wires and ready to go on 3S. There will be another option for those wanting to customize where you'll get just the housing and can use it however you like.

I would say option b.
Is this why I can't find them anywhere?

A. The lighting so far into the housing is the only complaint9besides yellow led strips) I had of my reaper eyes. Are these new strips still yellow? Look like they aren't.

Also is it possible to hide the wires from the led strips?

These aren't the yellow strips anymore. They use the standard 10mm wide rolled strips. This way you can swap them out if you want and they are less expensive (and easier to get).

These are going to run on 3S so you're good there. For the back, are you needing to have the interior lit up? They are a bit too far forward in the cab to work as the tail lights.

We can do a cap or a recess. I'll have the guys look into that.

The idea is the front and tail lights sharing the same wiring, but definitely detached.
The rear we just need normal 5mm LEDs to fit in the existing buckets in the rear.
My idea is just to make easier for anyone who wants front and rear lights in one pack.

2 red 1 yellow 1 blue if you want the rear to be more realistic. Or 2 red 2 yellow.

Trying to figure out a cost effective way to do that. Right now I can do a red strip with 3 lights. I know it's not totally scale, but should look cool.

If someone out there is reading this and does SMD LED's and could do these with RED-YELLOW-BLUE-RED. 3528's would work well. We just need to put resistors on them to make them bright enough, but not full power. This way you can see the different colors. Strip needs to be 7.5mm x 70mm. Can be 10mm x 70mm if larger LED's are used. Bar will be potted in black 2 part conformal coating into the housing.

why not use standard leds for the rear lights?

Regular LEDs would work (like 5mm round) but they wouldn't match the style of the front lights.

There's no reason why we couldn't release a rear light housing for 5mm LEDs and let the user wire them up themselves. The actual wiring part takes a lot of time and people don't want to pay for that time, so we try to find better ways to do it.

Long story short, if you guys want a housing that can take regular LEDs, we'll make it.

EDIT: The light bar I'm talking about is for the RR10, we're releasing 4 new products here and got that confused. The Yeti has the light housing already built in to the back.
