Default Yeti 1/10 losing power when steering

Hello all,
I have looked at the different threads and also on the web regarding my issue. I decided to post a new thread with my question, so thank you for kindly responding me.
I am new to this wonderful world of RC/crawling but I've done a few builds with my son prior to this one (Tamiya TT-02b)
The Yeti I built is amazing and I have tested it, bashing on ice and snow dunes and it is very impressive.
Only one issue: whenever I steer, it loses significant power and it will stop and stutter for a second or two and I have to let go of the steering for it to be able to accelerate again on a straight line. Once it's got significant speed, I can steer it and it drives nicely but it is mainly at a standstill that the issue is noticeable. I think my servo draws too much power from my ESC and it becomes significant when trying to mobilise the heavy Yeti from a static standstill.
My setup is a Sidewinder 3 with the 3150kv motor and a Savox 1211sg on a 3S-60C-4000mah Lipo. The servo has a high torque of 208 oz-in.
1) Is the servo drawing too much power from the ESC causing the problem?
2) If so, would a BEC solve the problem?
3) If I connect a BEC, do I need to reprogram the ESC or just plugging the thing
should suffice?
4) Would a MMP ESC solve the problem and avoid the need for a BEC?
Thx guys

Some answers below.

3) If I connect a BEC, do I need to reprogram the ESC or just plugging the thing
should suffice? No reprogramming needed, just remove the red wire from the ESC plug going into the receiver. Castle has a handy diagram in their instructions
4) Would a MMP ESC solve the problem and avoid the need for a BEC? No because the internal BEC in the MMP is still weak
Thx guys

Buy the rx bypass adapter, that way you only solder the esc battery wires.

The only ESC that can handle a high powered servo is the Mamba Monster X, but I'd still get a bec.

I have the Mamba Monster X but I still use a CC BEC with my Savox SV1270TG.
Savox are very power hungry servos. Mine goes up to 5A.
While the MMX is 8A peak, the CC BEC is 10A peak. Also if I burn the BEC, is $20 a new one. The MMX is $160...

My ESC only powers the radio and the 2-speed servo.

That's true, but given Castle's excellent warranty I might risk it on my next Yeti build to have a cleaner setup.

Yes, BEC in the fuel cell, rx in the standard location.
I also have the CC quick connect in the rx box, so I can connect to the ESC without open it.

I have a different issue that I would guess is servo/BEC related. I installed one of the 400 oz hobby king servos last week. It was ok at first, but I noticed after running it for a while the steering would glitch when turning right. If I steered right when driving or sitting still the wheels would cycle straight then right again repeatedly with a period of about 1 second. It never did it turning left. I didn't try recharging the pack and testing it again, so it may have been triggered by the pack being half charged. I am using all RTR electronics except for the $28 super China servo that worked perfectly for the first two packs. I purchased a Castle BEC but haven't wired it in yet.

Thank u all for your input/answers.
One more question: i use 4mm CC bullet connectors (with the CC green plastic sleeve over them).
Connecting each BEC wire with it's corresponding ESC wire to the bullet connector won't fit in the plastic cover that is supposed to slide over it.
That said, I thought about making a "Y" soldering connection with both wires linking a single wire leading to the bullet connector.
Do you think it is a wise solution?
Anyone had to deal with this situation? Other suggestions?
Thx again
