Default Tekin too much?

Dropped in a tekin 4x4hd love the power, BUT ..... Cannot keep my mesh LOOSE enough!
I've tightened until my fingers are sore. I get things set, run a bit and I can hear things tighten. I'm running a Robinson racing slipper

2nd the threadlock suggestion.

Is the tail end of that motor resting on the transfer case? If so it may be preventing the motor mount from gripping the motor correctly. On my rtr w/stock motor I spun the motor mounting plate to let the motor sit lower. It was resting on the transfer case and I ended up having to clearance the plastic case a little bit.

Another possibility is if the clamp on the mounting plate is slightly oversized it may not be holding the motor tight enough. Use a scribe and put a matching mark on the motor and mount and run it and then see if the marks still line up. If they don't you may have to shim between the motor and clamp with some paper.

I'm running the STRC anodized mount, I'm thinking to rough it up, I suspect due to torque and my low gearing I'm spinning it, I will scribe it next

My guess is the tolerances on the strc mount cinches down on the motor; the metal needs shaved down. They are most likely bottoming out before your actually getting it tight. Take the mount off and file down a bit around the Allen holes so there is room and the bolts don't bottom the mount out on itself.

I'm inclined to believe, simple to check with calipers

Rngrchad..... You hit it on the head. "Machined surfaces" had ridges, 2 minutes with a flat stone and ran 2 packs back to back, high gear and never had to look at my mesh. My Robinson Racing clutch also finally set !! Wonders what a sweet rig, now some time with castle link to fine tune brake curve

Before this I had loose mesh, that was screws backing out. This did not happen with the stock 3150 motor, what a difference!

Glad that worked out for you!! I had an STRC mount for my bomber that did the same exact thing. They didn't machine off enough material to compensate for the clamping space to actually cinch down.
