| Winter is coming....
No this has nothing to do with Game of Thrones... I live in the north east and sadly winter is coming. I got back into crawling this early summer and even did some U4 racing. I love going out in the trails and hiking with my Scx10. I was wondering tho how many hike the trails with their Yetis? Whats your set ups? Do you do anything special with them for the winter such as tires? Thanks. Heres a couple of pics of my Yeti. an action shot.. snapped the rear axle here: |

Get some small chain from the hardware store and make tire chains, they work excellent on my Yeti in winter!

Is that a 1/10 short course body cut down to fit on your Yeti?

When researching which rc I wanted to buy I was looking at the Losi SCBE that was just about to come out, then I saw video of the Yeti in the snow and was sold. I live in northern Alberta and there's a whole lotta winter up here so I was specifically looking for an rc that worked well in snow. I'm working on closing off behind the front tires and just bought some 2.8 Proline Sand Paws for the snow. Edit: Take a look at T-Bone racing's skis if you wanna go that route. Proline 2.2 paddle tires on all four corners. I live in a ski town in the Northern Colorado Rockies (Winter Park) and run in the snow from November thru April. After I play I put the Yeti in the bathtub and do a quick melting of the snow with a hot shower and then I put the Yeti upside down over the forced air register on the floor. after it dries I shoot all of the bearings and drive line components with WD 40. Don't worry about overdoing it with the WD40, it will wear off on the next run. I guess that it goes without saying but all of your electronics MUST be waterproofed. |

As you can see I also built a cover that goes over most of the electronics. This is a really good way to keep most of the snow out. Sent from my SM-G900V using Tapatalk |

I hike with my Yeti at least once a week. Hiked 5.3 miles last Sunday. See a ton of people use chains for the snow.

I hike with mine too. What kind of battery mileage are you getting? I'm getting about 2 miles per 6500 mAh pack.

I run both diffs open in the summer for bashing and lock up the rear only in the winter.
