Trailing arms

I'm getting ready to order my yeti kit and along with a bunch of upgrades. Was wondering the best trailing arms to get. Thanks.

SSD[emoji41] with hd rods
But the Kit ones with the plates are not bad. I would change them on breakeage.
i switched to the ssd only cause i needed a goodie for myself.[emoji12], but wasn't nessesary.

Our trailing arms are packed with HD rod ends only now.

I was leaning toward ssd but also the vanquish arms not sure how well the ends hold up on the vanquish. Are the ssd 3mm or 4mm rod ends?

Re: Trailing arms

3mm. That is why I went with JEC/Supershafty. Not necessarily because they would break but because I have a ton of traxxas ends and I can get the traxxas ends anywhere if I need them. The SSD not so much.

That's the problem I'm having. I'm trying to have all my rigs use the same rod ends.

Re: Trailing arms

I have the JEC Stainless on my Bomber. They're indestructible. They're also very, very heavy. When I built my Yeti, the Aluminum JECs weren't available, so I ended up going with a set of MFR trailing arms. They're ridiculously light, and to be honest, I'm a bit nervous that they're going to snap in half, but so far, they've taken everything I've dished out.

Re: Trailing arms

JEC has some industrial nylon (Delrin) versions now available:

I have the complete Bomber stainless link and trailing arm setup from him, very heavy - but it does tend to keep my rig planted!

My second Bomber will use the set of stainless links from an eBay seller called "american_machine_works_ohio" that I bought last year, but it looks like they may have stopped producing them. Very nice as well, but I haven't got around to getting the trailing arms yet - will either get SuperShafty aluminum BombProof arms (currently sold out) or the JEC Delrin this time.

The SuperShafty arms are slightly re-profiled from the original JEC design. I think they look a little nicer now... but slippery Delrin may win the day!
