My only experience with 1/18 so far is a Dromida SC truck which is incredibly strong for whatever reason. I've launched that thing 10 feet high a couple dozen times and whether I land on the roof, all fours, sideways, etc, nothing has happened yet. It's a pretty nice parking lot racer with the brushless system and gets about 15 minutes of hard driving on some 1200mAh 2S packs, top speed is about 20-25 mph. $100 from Tower's Scratch & Dent was a really good deal for it IMO. Hopefully Yeti Jr. won't eat parts like its big cousins do though. |

Would we expect it to be a bit bigger then 1/18 just like the 1/10? And I wonder if a brushed set up like described would be enough to get it up and going. |

| ![]() hard to say, but a 370 motors are more common in typical 1/18s. 380 motors are more common in 1/16 and 1/14 models like the tacon and traxxas models. if it is small like alike other 1/18s, a 380 should make it move really well.

This is intriguing. I have long wanted a sub 1/10 scale crawler but they either seemed to toy like or cost wise they were too close to a 1/10 to justify it in my mind. If it's Axial quality and $160 that could be the sweet spot for me. I did some math to see how big it might be. Looking at the wheelbase of the 1/8 and 1/10 Yeti and then extrapolate that out to 1/18 I came up with an 8.05556 inch wheelbase, so call it 8 inches. The Losi MRC has an 8.5 inch wheelbase and runs 1.9 wheels. I could see this on 1.9s too. Hopefully some more info will be leaked soon! |

I've got a cheap 2850 3500kV can with a 4mm shaft not doing anything and needs a home.

I'm speculating mid December announcement/release based on tower having a 1/18 tactic esc/rx and a 2 channel tx in their upcoming products section scheduled for mid December arrival. TowerHobbies.com | Tactic RE20 2in1 SLT Receiver/20A ESC Axial 1/18 |

That is sound logic but I am going to go big and say it's available for order on Tower by Wednesday of this week! Gotta be there for Black Friday!

| ![]() Inside scoop???? Haha if only, will definitely be getting one when they come out. And throwing a mamba micro x and 5300kV combo at it and see if it explodes.

From RC Driver magazine that just showed up in the mail: ...it's powered by a 380 sized brushed motor... also featuring a bespoke all-in-one programmable Tactic ESC and receiver, paired with a 3 wire micro high torque steering servo. $159.99

I know we don't know much about it, but is there any sort of aftermarket for 1/18 trucks like the Yeti?

None really...yet. There are plenty of 1/18 both hobby grade and Chinese hobby grade. If they use scaled down hardware like m2 and m2.5 bolts everyone would need new bolt bins. The 28mm brushless motors are available but mostly sensorless. Many kV options though. Id like to know wheel and tire size now, too. But I'd guess anything under 100mm would work well.

If I was to buy one (which, who knows, I might), the first thing I'd do is get a real Tactic receiver (if it fits) and a Castle 1/18 BL combo. ![]() |

so we're all going to buy it and break it within a few days and not be able to fix it. Sweet! | |
