| Axial 1/18 Yeti (and Yeti Score)
RCDriver lists a 1/18 Yeti and Yeti Score in their "Holiday Hot List" section (though they screwed up the pic of the score rig) powered by a brushed 380 motor... Parts #'s AX90052 and AX90054.... $159.99 Fess up fellas, who's got the scoop? Last edited by OSRC; 11-15-2016 at 06:08 AM. |

| Axial 1/18 Yeti (and Yeti Score)
For $160 I'm in. A 28xx brushless can and it'd fly. The 380 brushed can market is slim to none. I've got a pair of 1/12 FEIYUE FY03s (Twin Hammers smaller clone) and they're fun for a cheap beater. But open diffs, plastic drivetrain, and lack of motor choices limits them. I've got a 3000kV in one and a Redcat MOA motor in the other. |

I was just thinking the Castle Mamba Micro X combo would be perfect for this. Waterproof, drag brake on the fly, this little truck could be fun. I had such a bad experience with my 1/10 Yeti but I'm loving my new Proline Ambush. I may have to give this 1/18 Yeti a try. The 1.9 builders are gonna be psyched for this IFS system. I'm extremely curious to see the naked chassis.

Wonder how big this 1/18 Yeti actually is. I think Axial missed an opportunity here, selling the same truck with a different body as a 1/10 RZR would have been killer (people love small versions of their full size rides). Are you paying attention Proline. |

I'd like to see the transmission, too. If it's an scx axle then the front diff may be also. If so it should be able to handle 540 power. Then it'd open up all sorts of options. But if it's true 1/18 scale it'll be the size of a Losi Mini, and that's not much. I still want one.

1/18's are awesome. I have a brushless Teton that is tons of fun while my diffs are functional. It would be nice to have a kit version if this thing

Hopefully an 1/18 bomber is next. This yeti is sweet though.

I'll be keeping an eye on this one. Both my boys have 1/18 dromidas with about 1/2 of the available aluminum parts and they are tons of fun in the culdesac and at the skatepark. Pretty stinkin fast with a 5300kv 2040 on 2s, and just ridiculous on 3s. They're just too small to use on anything that even resembles offroad. Maybe the Axial minis will have bigger wheels like the MERV, if so, I'm in!

Interesting. Hope it fits the U4 1.9 Comp I'm looking for a rig in this class and only the twin hammers was an option. The stock electronics from the Yeti 1/10 will be nice (if fits) there. |

| Re: Axial 1/18 Yeti (and Yeti Score) Stock 1/10 Yeti electronics in this thing? Surely you can't be serious. I can't imagine the need at all. It would be fun for about 12 seconds. People liked to 1/10 blx systems in the merv too for whatever reason when even the 380 vxl was 3s standing backflip capable.

If fits I'm really serious. There's no reason why not. The idea is go fast, make a little devil! And the the power can always be controlled with exponential throttle and some other esc configuration, gear down... I use 1/8 scale electronics in my Yeti and Bomber 1/10. 1/10 electronics in a 1/18 will be so much fun! | |
