Default Wd40 on the stock rear drive shaft, Will it hurt anything?

There's like a squell/squeak sound when I drive my yeti and I thought about spraying wd40 on the rear stock drive shaft to see if that's where its coming from but want to make sure it won't hurt anything by doing it.

I wondered about that as well, do the stock bearings just wear out fast? I've probably run it about 10 times give or take. I do have the fast eddy yeti bearing kit sitting in my amazon cart, guess it's time to order it

WD40 isn't a lubricant and shouldn't be used as one. It will actually take good oil away from moving parts.

Use spray silicone or a light oil for bearings and joints..

As a general rule in life, I don't use WD40 on ANYTHING. It's a degreaser that leaves a residue that I find hard to get rid of. As for light lubricants (especially in small bearings) I will use either Tri-Flow or in the case of high performance sealed bearings (metal or ceramic) I will use a little bit of Finish Line's Flouro Grease Finish Line - Bicycle Lubricants and Care Products - Extreme Fluoro Grease I'll actually pull the bearings and pop the seals then put just a small amount on the bearing cages.

For small squeaks, Tri-flow should be a good enough fix until it starts squeaking again.

I user the WD40 Water Resistant Silicone Lubricant in all my rigs, all driveline (metal/rubber/plastic). Works great specially in the wet season here in PNW. Excellent to remove the noise of the moving parts.

The "normal" WD40 isn't a great idea as other comments said above.

If you still have the stock dog bones in the front, those might be what you are hearing. They squeak a TON especially in dry weather. Put some dry lube (dry lube for bike chains works really well), or a wet lube and a driveshaft boot over them.
