Ya the rear driveshaft, GPM makes a steel or aluminum version.

Ok the Traxxas Summit 1/16 was sitting on the bench with the Jr, I had to try it. I was surprised they actually fit. Some rubbing only when compressed quite a bit. But it drove around fine. My son loved it. Not something I would leave on there but just a fun change for the day.

On the subject of tires...

I got a set of Slickrock wheels off fleaBay for real cheap and also a cheap set of the smallest Chinese 1.9 I could find. All in, maybe $18usd. I just need to glue them on.

It'll need a little trimming but Ima leave it be until it bothers me from hanging up all the time.

The larger tires look good.

They would look better with a larger body; something like...

Getting it mounted is a work in progress but the width and wheelbase are perfect. Well worth the $20 from Walmart.

Can't find any in Canada...
It looks like the perfect mod on the Jr rock racer since the tires are oversized for 1/18.

My son wanted to put some Marvel Avengers action figures in the driver seat!

Look for a guy named Anthony Chwalek on Facebook.
He designed the tray and he's selling it directly in our Yeti Jr 1/18 group.

For those having doubts on how far you can push upgrades on the Yeti Jr.

Full metal drivetrain (Steel rear axle shafts, rear locker, driveshafts, Steel front CVDs)

Aluminium upper arms, trailing arms, front arms with c-hubs and knuckles, Steering rack, steering links and rear shocks.

Hobbywing 1060 esc
Full size Low profile servo (Solar D770)
Tactic Tr325 rx
Stock motor
Zippy 2s batteries 2200 mah

TX03 FPV camera

It's missing new tires and wheels but this is where options are limited.

Those short 1.9 Chinese tires I put on mine are about the cheapest and easiest route. Or you can go with some of RC4WD’s offerings.

Sorry. It’s only a 3mm sidewall difference. FWIW, the tires look the same. Could just be a difference of Chinese made rulers on Chinese made tires.

I just installed a host of GPM accessories, steel rear axles, rear locker, all steering assembly and steel rear driveshaft. I had a hell of a time removing the screws for the transmission cover, stripped a couple of them and had to drill the heads off. I am using a snap on hex wrench so not sure if the screws are of poor quality or I am doing something wrong.

It's really small hardware, I wouldnt use power tools on such a small RC truck.

I just bought a Dewalt 8volt screwdriver for my 1/10 scale but i will use the clutch at a very Low level.

Plastic is plastic, easy to strip threads.
