| Alum. Yeti TT wheel suggestions?
Looking for some aluminum wheels/rims to replace ones that came with my Yeti TT RTR. Tires are smoked too. Wanting a black beadlock rim. Have Methods on my Wraith but dont really want to pay the amount that I did for the Vanquish wheels I bought for the crawler. TT takes a lil' more "deliberate abuse" than the Wraith. You get what I mean.

Do you want to use short course wheels or regular 2.2's? I feel like regular 2.2 tires would be way too soft and would balloon really bad. Look into RC4wd short course wheels. They make some beadlock metal 2.2/3.0 wheels.

Keeping with the shortcourse format you've got either rc4wd Racelines and Mickey Thompsons or DRVNPRO DRVNPRO stuff, where he makes the hubs that look like disc brakes if that matters to you. The latter are designed around the Yeti TT. Option/plan "B", provided they clear the steering, is to run 1.9s with HARD foams. The basic overall tire o.d. is the same 4-3/4" as stock. Some of the scratch build TT guys run this format for what its worth, but in 2wd. As for tall enough shortcourse tires, I think your are stuck with the Score KR2s unless you feel like cutting up 1.9s. The only other tire I've found at the desired height is Redcat Racing's sc truck tires, but they have a 12 mm hex centered in the wheel, which messes them up for your truck. Also an 1/8 scale bead so they aren't mounting friendly onto different wheels. They work extremely well in most terrain for what its worth.

The Baja Rey tires/ Losi SCBE tires are also a correct height short course tire.
