I don't know why you wouldn't simply pull to the 55 out to use with an older radio, but it's your money. Just keep them out of the wet. I lost a tactic servo last year to water from melting snow. Now I only buy waterproof.

I was able to return the 55 and exchange for the 57 for only a few extra bucks.
Where I run my rigs water is not an issue

I’m so close to being finished (waiting on RR 18t pinion, TSX 57 servo, & RPM esc cage) that I am already looking ahead. The good news is as it sits now it’s “ scooting” around the garage nicely. And yes a Bomber would be my next project
I was getting pumped up looking at the KOH website.

IT’S DONE !!!
That first RPM esc mount was totally bogus, new one works fine
I’m happy with Robinson racing 18 t pinion and Gen 3 spur
Street testing on 4 s went well.

I was able to purchase a Jeep Wrangler Rubicon body on Amazon
It may be my body of choice. Look familiar? See post #183

Well it’s been six months and bags of $$$
I really appreciate everyone’s help. Patience was important for a project like this and the price tag was a little over the top. I consider it allowance well spent
All things considered, every vendor was helpful (Ottsix could have been better) with issues I encountered. Final steps will be the Jeep body and the back order interior which won’t come until mid December. I’m looking forward to hitting the trails and getting it dirty.
So here are my gratuitous completion pictures including Family shots.
I’ll update when new body and interior are done

WTF!
Doing a simple shocks test, dropping from 12 inches and the shaft on the proline sheared clean off. I’m returning for replacement. I may put them on the back of my RTR and go with Icons for the front of my project.

HOT DAMN!!!
I was finally able to take it out to one of my bashing spots
Outstanding performance overall SSD 2 speed worked great Holmes Hobby motor/servo/ Mamba X combo barely got warm... great speed and excellent crawling ability using SMC 4 s 5600
Sad to see it getting scuffed up but knew that was coming.

Talking Re: From the "tub up"

Going to give the Proline Wrangler Rubicon a try. It will be my second time painting, first time cutting. I’ll be spending time in the Paint and Body forum. Wish me luck....

DOH! Lost the screw shaft to my MIP rear C drive bashing today can’t find a replacement in my parts box. Is HW-SHSS/ M3 x .099 Pin Screw (2) #99062 the correct part?
