:lmao: I have my fingers all over this thing more than my first girlfriend...
My question is (turbodan, I was looking at your post) ssd 2 speed conversion shift lever definitely has a flop. Is AX31183 truly necessary?

Re: From the "tub up"

I've always wondered about the differences between a build like this with aluminum everything, vs one with only carefully placed metal bits. I can only imagine that much extra weight will take its toll.

Either way, looks good, hope it runs well!

Okay guys, I need help!
Is the axle built wrong? The housing points down and only rotates further down.
Probably something silly, my inexperience is showing

How does it look if you use the lower holes at the axle?

Re: From the "tub up"

Yep, wrong hole. Move it to the lower hole. The mounts you are using are actually for the RR10 Bomber. https://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/201...1bda8c4602.jpghttps://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/201...0818abd6ea.jpg

Re: From the "tub up"

Thanks guys for the input....after disassembling and reassembling every possible combination I find that the lower hole on the axle mount makes only a slight difference. This is the product description for the mount..."Vanquish Products AR60 Dual Shock/Link Mounts for AR60 Axles. Shock and link locations are threaded for easier installation. Designed to work with stock AR60 axle housings as well as Vanquish V2 axle housings". It says nothing about being for the Bomber.
I'm thinking the problem is with the upper links being to short. I unscrewed a rod end on each one and that lessened the axle downward tilt. The threads on the links are stupidly short so in order to get a "normal " looking rear axle I would have to unscrew the four rod ends about 1/2 way off.
So Vanquish titanium upper links are on the way.

Re: From the "tub up"

Your other option would be to use the longer Jato rod ends but that's just asking for rod end failure. Youll be happy with the VP links. I've only busted 2 rodends in a year and I launch my yeti pretty good

Question for those of you that have SSD 2 speed conversion and Axial shift support AX31183.
My servo tie rod has a tllt of 4-8 degrees, it's just a little less than pictured
( nothing is secure yet). I know it's mentioned that it should be as parallel as possible, but will this be ok?

A shoutout to Chris at SSD getting back to me so quickly regarding this and letting me know that it should be ok.
It's all about bench testing before hittin' da rocky road.

Added GPM front sway bar, probably not needed, but what the heck more bling.
This ultimately may be an exercise in futility but maybe not. Minimal crawling/zero jumping. Thinking about going with Pro-Line Ultra Reservoir Shocks 105mm Fr/Re Rock Racers for the front. Seriously considering Motor Option1 x Puller Pro BL 540 Standard 2700kv - Waterproof $125.99 ESC Option1 x Holmes Hobbies TrailMaster BLE Pro Waterproof $134.99
I'm open to opinions.
This is a no budget project but my allowance is slow in coming

Well, if you're goal is a bullet proof yeti it might be, but in the end the journey is the destination, right? I like what you're doing and I sympathize with the slow progress. My funds are slow in coming too, so far I haven't even got the kit yet, but just a very slowly growing pile of upgrades. All part of the fun.

Actually I'm hoping to make it "Bombproof"....HaHa as if that's possible in the RC world.
I'm really enjoying the build, researching wheels and tires now, haven't decided whether to go with panels or body. Maybe both
Looking forward to pictures of your build "thumbsup"

Re: From the "tub up"

Regarding tires may have a look at the hyrax i use them in my AX10. They will be also great at the Yeti with 2 Stage proline foams or CI. The included ones are too soft and without sidewall support. Also nice are the Voodoo klr have the Gold comp. on ssd rockracer.

Bombproof ... Rc ... Yeti[emoji48] never[emoji41] [emoji4]

Nice looking wheels, they fit your color scheme. just one disadvantage i see, if you have to take of the wheels, it looks like first you have to unscrew the cover (6 screws) to take them off or to tide them again.
