Default 3s lipo

Hey fellas what are you running for 3s lipo in the Yeti? I bought a 3s 5000mah but will not fit without modifying the the battery compartment.

I run 3s hard packs. They fit in the tray but I secure them with a Velcro strap, I run 5000 and 7000 packs.

7200 mah 3s hard pack from SMC racing. It's a very tight fit, but it does fit.

I run GENS ACE hard packs like I said 5000 and 7000.

SMC would be my first choice but they were out of stock when I needed batteries.

Running a HobbyStar 5200mAh hard case & GensAce 5500mAh soft pack, and both fit the tray with the top brace at its highest position. The hard case is a just a hair tight, but nothing to worry about.

Venom 7500 30C 3s. Had to remove the top brace to fit. Still snug.

You cant fit a 5000? You know you can adjust the bars higher right?
I only run 5000 reaction 3s 20c and it fits perfect.

I have a 4800 3s softpack as a spare but its too small unless i stick foam in there with it. Only ran that pack twice as a spare.

Thumbs up Re: 3s lipo

SMC 7600mah 3s - Remove the bar and add a battery strap. Works perfectly.

I also run the SMC 7200mah. Tight fit, but I love them! True Spec Premium 11.1V 7200mAh 131 Amps/90C

So, I'm positive it's not due to the battery, but I'm getting 32 minutes out of her. The motor over heats and shuts down. Pretty sure it's because I changed out stock pinion for 17t.

I ditched the stock stuff in one week. Motor was always hot, even geared down . The Vanguard combo likes 2s better

I'll probably swap in my castle electronics. I'm more worried about stripping gears and breaking axles
