Yeti Score speed increase
 

I have a yeti score truck. And I was wanting to know if I could just buy the one set of gears. In the 2-speed kit to make it faster. Or if I have to install the whole kit. I just want it geared to go fast not slow for crawling.

The easiest thing would be to get a bigger pinion and/or a smaller spur gear.

You can also swap your top shaft gear 26 tooth and bottom shaft gear 28 tooth in your transmission.

Bigger pinion/smaller spur, is the easiest way. Can also add Axial OD gears front and rear to up the driveline ratio.

I put a order in for the 21T pinion from robinson racing. And the 26t and 28t gears.

Ive got the regular yeti. Uped the pinion to a 18t and running 3s and it wheelies alot. Haven't done the tranny gear swap. How much does swapping the trans gear make a difference?

The transmission will have a slight overdrive after swapping the gears (1.076 vs stock .928)

Not sure if you have the budget, butine screams with a 550 brushless motor around 3500kv and 4s. Running the hobbywing max10sct esc

I believe it is the equivalent of going up from a 16 to a 18T pinion.
