Default Another Yeti Score build!

Well guys lost out on an SC10 SCT truck (going for more than I want to pay) SO made an offer on this Yeti Score RTR chassis on eBay for $215 shipped and got it! #racetruck haha

Going to make it a light weight, decent handling race truck. Typical SCT wheel/tires, body, and a few upgrades! Bought decals for a Rob MacCachren Mopar truck with another Pro-Line Ram 2500 body.

Hot Racing front sway bar
Hot Racing 43/13 gears
Traxxas turnbuckles for camber/steering
Twin Hammers rear links
Ditch the fuel cell (cut down aluminum links in place)
Axial narrow 12mm hubs
SSD servo arm
SSD Yeti D60 centered housing
Yeah Racing titanium steering link
Reedy shorty 2s lipo
Savox servo
SV3/5700kv system from my other Yeti
Traxxas black/blue 2.2/3.0 wheels
Jconcepts Dirtwebs (golds)
Few other things!

Nice! Me too! My other truck sadly is to heavy for the SV3/5700kv SO I decided to save up and buy an 1/8 scale combo for it. So I'm donating the SV3/5700, and a few other parts from my other truck to build another ahaha

Wanted to do a light weight race style truck out of one of these to see if it could hang with the likes of race style SCT's on a clay track haha.

Even a 'lightweight' yeti will be at a disadvantage to an SCT in gearing, weight, balance, jumping, and having a solid rear axle.

If you are still set on spending your money to run a yeti against SCTs, here's my comments:
- dial out as much anti-squat as you can stand from the rear suspension.
- unlock the rear diff - I have heard that the spider gears won't last long on the track, but will will reduce 'fishtailing'
- use the stiffest blue-dot axial springs, and dampen well; you can run the suspension lower with less bottoming
- the fuel cell is integral to the chassis cage stiffness
- find out what tires work for your particular track, and get those.

1. Noted
2. good idea! Will do that! (swap front dif for rear ahaha)
3. Noted
4. fuel cell is going to be replaced by aluminum threaded links
5. It's an indoor clay track almost blue groove - Jconcepts Dirt Webs golds are the plan

Said F it and ordered the parts! Once the chassis shows up the modding will begin! Going to try to mount the battery further in the chassis to lower the center of gravity a bit. Very little time left to wrench sadly as it gets nicer out my 1:1 will get all of my attention here!
Parts!
Axial narrow 12mm hubs
Axial 7.5x80mm threaded links (making upper rear links)
Hot Racing Twin Hammers lower links
Hot Racing Yeti front sway bar
Hot Racing Wraith rear sway bar (already have)
Hot Racing 43/13 gear (already have)
SSD D60 centered plastic axle housing (already have)
SSD 25t servo horn
Protek 5x8 bearings for steering rack
Traxxas 3643 turnbuckles for camber/toe links
Traxxas 2.2/3.0 split spoke blue/black wheels
Pro-Line Ram 2500 body for a Slash
Jconcepts Dirt Webs gold compound (indoor clay)
Reedy shorty 2s lipo
Power HD 13kg servo
Castle 5700kv combo (already have)
Robinson 15t/18t 32p pinions (already have)
Yeah Racing titanium steering link (3x40mm)
Yeah Racing aluminum wheel nuts
Probably a few other little things I'm forgetting.. but this truck will not get much to keep it as light as possible. Will be a fun truck! - Got banned from Facebook for 7 days so pics will come when the ban is lifted (week or so, but will be waiting that long for parts ahaha)

4wd restored
Installed the SSD D60 Yeti axle from my kit
56/18 gearing
Traxxas turnbuckles for camber/tie rods
Axial narrow 12mm hubs
Yeah Racing aluminum wheel nuts
Yeah Racing 3x40mm steering turnbuckles
Installed Yeti buggy rear posts in place of fuel cell
Hot Racing lower rear trailing arms
Hot Racing front sway bar
Hot Racing Wraith rear sway bar
Axial 7.5x75mm rear upper links
SSD 25t servo arm
Power HD 180oz steering servo
Same Castle 5700kv from my other truck
