| Steering servo conundrum
Hello fellow forum members, Recently my yeti has been eating servo gear sets, I am running a savox SW-0231MG which I had no problems with through the first year and half in my gmade r1 and then 8 months in my yeti. But in the last 4 months I've gone through 5 gear sets. I am running a setup that's pretty ludicrous (rolling back flips at half trigger) but im using a servo saver and the stock steering rack. Does anybody either have a explanation for this or maybe a recommendation for a servo thats around 50-60$ Thanks, Brennan |

It's not exaclty a beast, that Savox. Wonder it made it that far in the Yeti Not many bulletproof servos in that range I believe. I'd try one of the chinese cheapos from the "Whats the newest servo hotness thread" or stretch my funds to 90+ bucks.w The case could be distorted and/or the bushings worn, that would kill the gears so fast. |

I use a savöx 1210sg in my little monster it should be in your price range. Also you may have a look at the powerHD 20kg or 23kg waterproof as cheaper option. In the higher price range you can find options from promodeler (470), Holmes (SHV500), savöx (2290) ....... the 0231 is way too weak for the steering, but a great shift servo At min. you need 20kg + as steering servo. And make sure to set the endpoints correct, that kills servos as well. |

I second the savox 1210. I beat the crap out of my yeti and it's the only servo to survive it. I ran a powerhd 20kg, but kept stripping gears. It's on shifter duty now. Sent from my ONEPLUS A5010 using Tapatalk |

Power HD 13kg (170oz) or 23kg (250oz) servo 25t spline.. 13kg is $20 and the 23kg is $25 in the usa - I have the 13kg in a light weight truck, and planning to get the 23kg for my heavy truck..
