Mamba X; big enough for the motors typically used with the yeti's weight and gearing (2800-3500kv) and the aux wire allows for toggling or adjusting parameters on the ESC on the fly.

For example, you can connect the ESC's aux wire and the shift servo to the same radio channel, so that the drag brake turns on with the shift into low gear.

The Monster X also uses the aux wire and can be had cheaper than the Mamba X, unless you are buying a combo. If you have the space then I would suggest using the Monster X with its better overhead. Things don't break because they are under stressed.

Both X ESC are suitable.
Cause a Yeti could get heavy. I would go with the Monster X, which is also cheaper than the Mamba X at some stores.
And i like to have some buffer in the power drain.
My personal rules for electric in my rc
continues current A >= peak A: Lipo >= esc >= motor; esc/bec >= servo
for the cable diameters the same lipo >= ESC >= motor
so no stress in these sequences.

I run the Mamba X on a 10 lbs Yeti, no problems. Temperatures outside have been mild though. I think the Monster X is a fair bit larger, I would have a problem fitting it in.

I’ve just fitted a MMX to my Yeti, the aux rock racer function is the nuts

The monsterX is mostly the same size and shape as the mambaX.

Mamba X on left, Mamba Monster X on right - another thing that makes the Monster harder to cram in a small space is that is has the thicker wires coming out of both sides of the ESC, whereas the Mamba X has all 5 clustered on the one end...

I have the micro mamba x with a 4100kv motor, futaba 4pv controller. I've tried it all to get my truck to toggle between rock racer and rock crawler still won't work right. I sent cc a email and never got a email back.

There is lots of information in the Mamba X thread here:

Mamba Firmware V2.02

It seems that usually it is in the setting of the endpoints, that you don't have them set far enough apart.

I opted for the Mamba X SCT. Seems to work well and the sensors setup is really nice as opposed to my velenion.

I went with the Monster X but the Mamba X would probably be fine as well.
