Default Front suspension range

Hey all. New here. I have been building and destroying my yeti for the whole summer. First rc build and I am having a blast.

I have recently decided to upgrade the front almost completely. Since my rebuild, I can't seem to get any range from it.

When the shock are installed, I cannot get it to bottom to the ground as before. They get fully compressed. The shock are powerstroke rear slash. When i disconnect the shock it bottoms.

In the other direction.it maxes when the chubs interferes with the a arm.

I am doing something wrong? In can I increase the range with the shocks installed?

Thanks for the help.

Your shox are to long for the yeti front, they are 102mm, the yeti uses org. 90mm shox front.

I still use my og icons, so i have no expierence with power stroke front shox. I just compared the length.

I tried the power stroke rear shox, they fit but i never get them to work on my little monster. so they are in the shelf now and the icons back on my little monster.

I use the Slash rear Power Strokes on the front of my Yeti. I made some short extensions for the upper shock mounts out of some left over Losi parts I had.

Pretty cool mod. I have a original tower left... I could figure something out...

Since yesterday, I removed my upgraded boom racing a-arms and returned to the originals. I have noticed that the interference with the C-Hubs is a lot smaller and increased the range a lot!

Thanks for the help everybody.

That Boomracing doesn't really "extend" the shock tower in a way that would help with longer shocks. If you look closer it has been advertised as a means to avoid bottoming out.

They sell the Proline Slash rear powerstrokes for Yeti because quite a many Yeti drivers don't want their Yeti to Bottom out....I don't like that kind of a setup, always want my rigs to be able to bottom out.

To this day I haven't seen any ready made solution, but I've also put an extra piece on the shock tower to extend it to make it able to bottom out...and thats on a score with smaller diameter tires. So either extend your tower, or switch to slash front powerstrokes.
