Default Anyone tried GDS Racing shocks?

Stumbled upon these shocks on ebay:

https://www.ebay.com/itm/2pcs-new-GD...item33df191323

They're probably junk, but thought I'd see if anyone has tried them out.

No never heard of them, but they look very much like some of the Proline shocks?

For 17.50 with FS a pair they may be a outstanding value.

Yeah, they look like power strokes. I'm not sure I would want to take the risk buying them at this point unless I see some positive reviews.

I've seen them, but I haven't heard any feedback on them. Test them out and write us a review!

I used to eye that red set of shocks on eBay. I remember reading somewhere that someone said they leaked and someone else said they don't leak, but I don't mind getting another opinion on them!

If it's just a matter of swapping out something like o-rings, etc. They look like they might be a bargain.

Finally the parts arrived. On the first view they look very good, nicely packed in a package not in a plastic bag as usual.

The 2 Part driveline went in/out smoothly, little slope but nothing really unusual.

The shocks are made of alloy, not filled and no Grease in the seals. It has 2 o-rings with plastic spacers and the topcap has 1 o-ring seal as well. Will do a rebuild and see what i can use from the Traxxas rebuild Kit.

So far. mention the price i'm Happy.

Nice! Thanks for the update. They look nice, and if they perform ok and if they can hold oil ok, I'd pick up a bunch.

Also, was wondering what springs fit these. Would be nice to know compatible springs for tuning options too!

The springs are inner diameter 13mm outer 15mm length 32mm for dual spring setup like they are out of the box

my axial springs could be mounted but they are slightly wider (1mm)

Nice to hear. Installed mine and the shox in a scale projekt but no testing. It's a slow build.

Hi. I bought them because my stock shock caps were cracked..and hell, the cost of these shocks were the same price as some aluminium caps, lol.

I haven't had a chance to run them too hard, because I've just gotten her fixed..but she's taken a few jumps of about 3 feet and everything seems good. As far as I can tell..they're proline knock offs. All aluminum except for maybe the spring separator. Have the bleed holes.

Tried mounting with vanq shock adjuster..no good. Took that off..looks perfect. So these are from China..having said that, my rear set came with hardware that didn't fit their shock eyelet, lol. I emailed the seller..they refunded. I just put plastic eyelet pm for standard pivot ball, and it's fine. 4 shocks for 17.50. Score.
They also need a little spacing, both front and rear with their hardware, to clear springs..should be fine with the stuff that comes off the plastic tree. No leaks so far.

I'd say they're pretty nice for 17.50. I'll report back when I break them

Well..Took about 7 jumps to snap the shock shaft right at the end. Maybe they're meant for racing..not jumping 3.5ft ? Hoping proline shock shafts might fit
