| Shock tower extending
I think this deserves it's own post. Anyone use shock tower extenders? They can prevent chassis slap..but I'm wondering if that causes breakage on other parts, changing all the force to the skid plate / hinge. And if anyone else has had any issues with using them. I use the vanq..seems to really Jack the front up, too, as well as reduce shock travel. Just wondering everyone else's experience. |

You actually want the chassis to hit the ground before the shocks bottom out to reduce breakage, learned this when I was racing SCT's.

Moving the shocks to a more upright position will change the behaviour of the car noticeably. And it will put a little more stress on some parts. And indeed as said, you want the chassis to hit the ground before the shocks bottom out. The chassis is stronger than the shocks are. Yvo |
