| Quicksand/Grizzly4x4 Miniclod Axle kits We are currently unable to take any more orders. Our CNC has had a major problem and we will be unable to produce any more kits until we get it fixed. Thank you for your support and we will try and get things going again as soon as possible. Quicksand Off Road and Grizzly4x4 are proud to introduce the new Miniclod axle kits. After months of prototype testing these kits are finally ready for production. If you have a set of Clodbuster axles that you have been wanting to use for a 2.2 or you have Axial axles and have been wanting to run an MOA this is a great option for you. The kit includes two lockers, six M2.5x8mm locker screws, and 4 axle tubes only. You will need to purchase all the other parts separately. -The lockers consist of two halves that clamp to the stock Tamiya Clodbuster diff gear using the spider gear pins. This kit will not work with diffs that have had the spider gears glued together or with aftermarket diff gears that have no spider gear pins. You will need stock, unlocked diff gears for this kit. -The axle tubes have a mounting pad that accepts Tamiya TLT link mounts for link mounting options and cost effectiveness. The tubes accept axle shafts and axle ends designed for the Axial AX-10 axles. We have tested with stock plastic axle C's as well as aluminum C's from Hot Racing and RC4WD, all brand should fit with no problems though. -Stock Axial dog bones and Axial CVD's with both work. I have not had any testing with MIP CVD's yet but they should work as well. -We have tested with Axial plastic straight axle adapters, Axial aluminum straight axle adapters, and RCP straight axle adapters with no problems. The Axial straight axle shaft will work but require a small modification to remove the flange near the inside end. This setup narrows up the track width of a set of Tamiya Clodbuster axles to 7 9/16" from hex to hex, giving an overall width of about 10.5" using standard Axial beadlock wheels and Panther Cougar or HB Rover tires. Here is a complete parts list of what is needed to complete two axles. This example uses the Axial straight rear axles. Parts and quantities will vary if you use other setups. -If you don't have Clodbuster axles you need these parts: 2x Clodbuster gear cases [Tamiya B Parts 58065/89, 0005294] $10.19 2x Clod counter gear pins [Tamiya Counter Shaft 58065/89, 9805231] $2.69 2x Gear bearings [6x12x4mm bearings (2)] $3.49 2x Gear bearings [5x8x2.5mm bearings (2)] $3.49 2x Differential bearing [Axial Bearing 10x15x4mm, AXA1230 (2)] $4.96 1x Front stub axle inner bearing [Axial Bearing 10x15x4mm, AXA1230 (2)] $4.96 16x M3x6 screw 18x M3x12 screw 6x M3x15 screw 4x M3x30 screw 28x M3 nut -If you don't have Clodbuster axles or you do but the diffs are not stock, unlocked gears, you need these parts. 2x Clodbuster gears [Tamiya Clod Buster Gear Set, 50327] $8.39 1x Spider gear pins [Tamiya Metal Bag 58065, 9405351] $7.39 -These parts are recommended to complete the axles using Axial straight rear axles. Parts may vary if you use other brands. 1x Lower link mounts [Tamiya 9804179] $3.29 1x Upper link mounts [GMade Clodbuster Top Link Mounts (set of two)] $19.99 1x Motor Mounts [RcGuy Adjustable Motor Mounts - Clodbuster (pair)] $26.99 1x Alum axle C [Hot Racing Aluminum SCP1901] $23.99 1x Alum steering knuckle [RC4WD aluminum X-0372] $29.99 1x Front axle shafts [Axial AX30420 inner, Axial Ax30366 stub shaft] $24.59 1x Plastic rear lockouts [Axial plastic AX80020] $8.00 1x Rear axle shafts [Axial straight axle AX30421] $19.99 1x Wheel hex [Axial Racing 12mm Aluminum Hex Hub (black) (4pcs), AX30429] $4.89 Last edited by Grizzly4x4; 03-19-2009 at 08:04 PM. |

Each kit sells for $85 shipped in the lower 48 states. PayPal only please. One kit will do 2 axles, or one truck. If you want to order multiple sets please email me and we can reduce shipping charges. Orders outside the lower 48 please email me before sending payment. I will email you an instruction sheet (pdf) with your order. Please direct all questions and order inquiries to my email, please do not PM me about these kits. Email is much easier to keep track of. Here are some examples of builds with the miniclod axles. The Reign RC Widemouth, and stock Axial AX-10 chassi both work well with these axles. I will update as we find others that work well. These axles are designed for guys who like the challenge of building but one person has built a rig using a stock AX-10 chassis, suspension links, and tierod. Billygoat's build Rogue's build Below is my Reign Widemouth Miniclod Last edited by Grizzly4x4; 03-17-2009 at 06:56 PM. |

Kamikaze chassis should be interesting with it being so narrow. I plan to do another build with my GC-2 chassis, I think with some minor skidplate mods it'll work just fine. Good luck.

I finally got the other parts I need to get these together. I will be starting my build thread very soon. I can tell you I am already in love with these and will more than likely be buying a set for an MOA build for my son as well. I am SO glad I didn't get rid of my clods after I left the super world. |

I apologize guys, my machinist was not in today so I couldn't get the parts to ship out. I will try to get them tonight or tomorrow and get them shipped out right away. Sorry for the delay. He's got ten kits done, I just need to get them picked up. I'll then have 3 kits in stock. He'll have another 20 done at the end of the week.

For those who haven't seen these yet, the machine work is very impressive! I got mine the other day and am completely excited to take on this new build. I have never owned Clod anything or an MOA so this will be a great way to get into MOA and not dump a ton of $ on bergs. Thanks again Chris! |

Thank you for the good words Jon. I am sorry to say guys, we are currently unable to take any more orders. Our CNC has had a major problem and we will be unable to produce any more kits until we get it fixed. Thank you for your support and we will try and get things going again as soon as possible. If you sent me money you are covered. I have shipped all but one order and it will go out tomorrow. I am terribly sorry for this guys but there was an electrical issue with the CNC that just reared it's ugly head. We had no idea it was going to happen. Thanks again for your support and hopefully we will be going again soon. |
