| Bully 4340 Chrome-Moly Replacement Axles
I am going to start selling replacement axles for the Bully's. They will be made out of 4340 chrome-moly with a 5mm thread with the thread length 3mm longer then the RC4WD V1 and V2 axles. They will be sold as a set of 2 front stubs, both rears and 4 HPI M5 flanged lock nuts. The price will be $110 shipped USPS. This should be the last set of axles you will need for your Bully axles. You will need to open the holes in the wheel hex to fit a 5mm thread and may need to open the holes in your wheels. I have a set of Double Phatty's that I had to increase the hole size. Here is a picture of my LHBV2 and LHBV1 axles to compare to the RC4WD V2 axles. The 2 center axles are the RC4WD V2 axles. The LHBV1's will not be made do to having the 4mm thread which are the 2 stubs on the right. I will start taking orders shortly and let me know what you think of the axles. The machine shop has started machining axles today and hopefully I should have axles in hand by the end of next week. All I can say about the V1-V4 axles is that my axle is still stronger and should last the life of the outer housing without being replaced and if the V4 is the answer to fixing the problem then why have I heard a V5 is coming out. If you break or clown one of these axles theres going to be more bent or broken then just the axle. Have you tried getting Bully axles from RC4WD I want to be another source so the Bully community can get axles if RC4WD does not have them in stock. if these have 5mm threaded section and are made from 4340 cromo then I dare say these are the very best axle shafts out for the bully axles I will be buying a set soon as they are done! |

| The axles are being machined out of 4340 and will have the 5mm thread. All I can say is these axles have some beef. |

I didn't see anything about the pin to connect the inner and outer shafts in the post. What material is it and how is it holding up? Thanks |

The pin issue could have been why GABronco twisted an inner shaft. I will let you know what I find out. | |

| I am hoping I can get pins off the shelf but I need to find out what material they are other then being called alloy steel. Some pins called alloy steel are made out of 4140 which should do the trick. I also want to find out if a hardened steel pin would work. I am completely staying away from any pins made out of stainless. If anyone out there knows a company that has 2.5mm dia X 13mm long alloy steel pins please let me know.

Update on pins: Alright I have found pins that will do the trick but will need to be ground down some to fit. I will include 2 pins free of charge if you grind them to fit. If I need to grind them it will be another $5.00 added to the total. Let me know what you think of this plan. |
