hey i was going to get a set of these for when mine in my new comp crawler took a dump. just a quick question before i make an order so i get it right the first time. do i need to replace the worm spool gear when i install the chromos? or will it stand up to the chromo? this is all new to me so i wanna do it right. thanx for any help

I would not worry about it. I think a slightly worn spool would be good. I put in a very worn spool when I started testing these and it would still be running today if I would have not taken it out for troubleshooting. A slightly worn spool is probably a bit better than a new one just because it gives you a head start on break in and gets you to that smooth point quicker.

If somebody were to sweet talk me and offer the right price I could be tempted into selling my complete axles. Chromo rear, HD front, 20* hubs, AL knuckles etc,.

My parts bin already has 6 complete axles and two brand new HD sets... all I really need is the chromo worm. I'll try the wanted section, thanks for the offer though
